Rewatching earlier eps, picked up that TY had long ago told YH that she would have (only) 3 days to live if someone…
Oh interesting! There’s always something to pick up on rewatch.
So how does the fact he gave her his immortality fit into this? I haven’t been able to go back and watch to understand this - life is getting in the way 😤😤😤
Even though they’ve shown a better side of So Ra, I’m glad that Jung Min broke it off with her first. They…
I thought the friend was smart in doing this as if she had told her to leave the husband, these would be EXACT same excuses CJS would have given her as reasons 🙂 I mean, the friend knew that CJS wasn’t a proper wife for so damn long and if she’d wanted to leave, she would have done so years ago. But now that push has come to shove, she still isn’t ready to leave and hearing that she needs to do so from her friend would be like a slap in the face when she’s at her most vulnerable. This showed that the friend knew she was conflicted and didn’t have the guts to jump ship yet and she dropped that last line to give her the power of choice. “Do what makes you happy.” I highly doubt CJS even fully knows what that is after so many years of living for everyone else and she’s only just beginning to figure this out now that she’s doing something for herself…

I am glad to hear that 💜 I love the friend for using humour to lighten the situation . “Is he good in bed? Is that why he has two great women fighting for him?” LOL!

You know, personally, I actually liked that the friend told her to stay in the marriage if that’s what makes HER happy. Having gone through a similar experience, I can tell you how much I appreciate that she didn’t tell her all that was wrong with the marriage and how she needs to get out cos she deserves better etc or, how she has to stay in the marriage for the sake of the kids, etc etc. Instead, the friend ranted and said her piece and THEN told her EXACTLY what she needed to hear and that is a perfect way to empathize. This leaves her room to think for herself and not have to meet her friend’s expectations which is an added stress when she’s already confused, lost and overwhelmed and needs her friend’s support.
Okay petty rant - Dr Cha’s clothes. I dislike them immensely and they don’t suit him at all! I wonder if they were trying to tone down his looks with them or what. 😑The only good thing was the leather motorcycle outfit
Maybe unpopular opinion but I don't think TY deserve YH at all. There's no misunderstanding here. Even if TY explained…
I agree that TY needs to earn YH’s forgiveness and I certainly hope that she spends time giving it to him but I do not agree that he doesn’t deserve her. TY is deeply hurt which is why he’s repeating patterns and experiences and has hurt YH who’s been nothing but kind to him (well, expect when she deigned to best him up in the initial episodes lol!) If she walks away from him now, it’s just going to reinforce his belief that he really doesn’t deserve any love or happiness.
People who’re hurting almost always hurt those who’re good to them. 😔 And if no one takes a chance on them and shows them the error of their ways, then it’s a chance lost for them to heal🙂
Regarding their age difference. He like 1000+ and she 20, I'd say she is in case of emotions etc. more mature…
Yup, true. However, I think the maturity vs age question doesn’t have much of an impact here cos they had different lives growing up. TY was revered and enjoyed a position where he was loved and cherished by everyone and didn’t have any conflicts per se until the SY incident. YH however had a really difficult life and was forever in the middle of conflict what with how she didn’t seem to get along well as much with her sect members. I also think that the fact that she had a shifu who took care of her, helped her understand herself better which could also be why she’s got more of an EQ than TY.

I read the novel just recently after putting it off for many years and I had the both of them and their voices in mind throughout 😍
Le sigh.
