I think in YT’s eyes, VE was directly responsible for the death of QK which is why she killed him. An eye for an eye.
The HE on the other hand, held his power, and supposed superiority over the other realms because of said power, above everything else which is why she destroyed his core but left him alive. To her, revenge was about QK and never about the Dongqui people. I don’t think she considered how SiZui ever felt cos to her, the powers were only a means to destroy the people who killed QK. But I think SiZui thought YT had the same goal as hers - bring back the Dongqui tribe and later, avenge their deaths

LLD’s ability to be mischievous and chirpy one min and utterly heartbroken the next is brilliant! The way she kept her eyes half-open in the scenes following her crying as if her eyes were swollen just made me tear up again and again (maybe they were actually swollen or maybe it’s make-up but it just added to the scenes )
And what you said about CXX does make sense ! I was trying to explain how he has so much screen presence even if he is just standing in the background and what you said hits the nail on the head. His subtle eye movements, facial expressions and body language just adds to every scene he’s in without taking away from the characters the focus is on. 🙂
I am trying to figure out how I’m feeling at the prospect of an ending where YQ is left bawling his eyes out and YT gone..🤔🫤 QK’s death was heartbreaking but I felt like there was some sort of closure. I’ll also need to think about why I feel that way - maybe cos CF has known loss before and YT was around to do the avenging. But YQ - I am trying to see how he’d be without YT. I see him being a warm-hearted senior, maybe teaching and helping QH rule the heavenly realm and then spending the rest of his time cultivating and meditating. He’ll probably appear to be open and approachable and will smile that gentle smile to everyone who sees him but in reality, a part of his heart is forever lost and no one can seem to reach that part of him. He and CF meet often and talk. They console each other and CF cries often now.
On a side note, I love the young actor who plays his younger self. He was a deity in some drama I do not remember now (was it The Blue Whisper?) and in so many others and he’s brilliant!
I had a major “WoAH” moment when I heard it for the first time! And coupled with YQ being all goofy and dorky , it was a huge change from all the stoic, self-righteous deities I’ve seen before who are still as calm waters and spouting 1000 rules of the heavenly realm or some such in their steady, even-toned voices 😂 The way he kept exasperatedly reprimanding YT in that deep voice in the first couple of episodes was hilarious!!!!
