I'm so happy for all involved in this! The director was smart, he said he wanted no traffic stars from what I…
OMG seriously!!!! I feel like they're all getting a chance to shine and show themselves in this drama! Even the side characters....I remember when I was watching Immortal Samsara, all the comments were about "When will this evil lamp lady disappear??" She just kept taking so much screen time and was so out of place in the later episodes as a character, But here, all the characters have their purpose and the right amount of time on screen before they leave. So good!
Phew! Just got done with ep 36 and YT is Awesome!!!! She put aside her grief to figure out what to do and just went for it! They're all doing such a great job but Landi's crying just gets to me :( The way she lets it all out keeps making me think of the little girl who was trapped in a room and bullied and ridiculed all her life :( I feel like her relationship with YQ has given her this ability to cry out loud whereas before, she always kept her vulnerable emotions in check. The feels are too much :(
This reminds me of the MYQ arc where I couldn't get over how good-looking he is π€£
I know! I am like "Damn! He's such a playboy! But why does his lavender robe look so great on him and that one curl of hair falling over his eye is soo pretty!' And had to rewind a couple of times to focus on what he was actually saying
Honestly!!! And I just saw the trailer for the next episodes and when he poofs in while YT is having serious convo with the evil heavenly Emperor, he legit looks like he just got out of his bath scented with sandalwood and bergamot and pulled his robes on in a hurry! All that neck-dipping- into-chest territory on display. Like what the heck he planning to do? Distract YT into not killing his father?! Eeesh!
Okay as a break from all that crying and ice-cream eating I did - why the heck does Youqin have to look so damn handsome when he drops unconscious at the end of ep 35?! Like why take away my focus from the angst?!???!?!?!?!
I am just catching up to the last 4 episodes and man! Man man's death scene just left me devastated. The way it was shot was just so..real. YT's emotions were spot on. She lost the one person who's been with her literally 24x7 ever since she was a young girl and that is really something none of the others who were standing around could ever understand. QK looked on not knowing what to do, YQ looked so helpless and CF seems to be triggered. As YT kept wailing at everyone to do something, you could see the look of relief on her face and a "Finally someone has come who understands!!!" when she saw DLJ :( And poor DLJ!
And I love how YQ seems to have taken a step back in the following scenes because in reality, this is not something he is familiar with. He's always been the all-powerful, in-control, super-deity and now, he is just a helpless fugitive. The scene where CF stepped up and told him to be ruthless and alert and set down his expectations is such an in-character thing for him! This is what he had to do all his life and it's a situation he's familiar with.
I love the way this drama just picks the important stuff and goes with it without many irrelevant scenes.
Can someone please explain to me why pai su has a fear from blood and what causes the scar on his chest?? I didn't…
He thought since he had inherited his dad's genes, he would be a psychopath like him. So he conducted shock therapy on himself (scars on chest) and conditioned himself to react to the sight smell and feel of blood.
First, the damn emperor wouldn't let anyone collect Youqin's shards to awaken him again. He even put Yetan on…
Awww π He evokes very similar emotions in me I tell you ππ The younger me would have rooted for CF (I still love him, donβt get me wrong) but now that I know MUCH better lol, I love characters like YQ that are calm, dependable, loyal, in your corner come what may, trustworthy and make you want to be a better person. All that stability and security is so damn sexy! βΊοΈ

Oh yes! He made her feel so safe to be vulnerable for once...I don't think she's let her guard down like this even in front of her sister :(
The fact that the carriages got switched is such a beautiful thing. I mean YQ is getting such a different perspective thanks to YT. It was all black and white for him before he understood that immortals can also have shades of grey after meeting YT and seeing her experiences in heavenly realm. He was always a kind and compassionate person as seen how he treated YT when in his soul shards incarnations and I am thinking his mum modeled some of those emotions in him. But he truly embraced himself and decided who he wanted to be and I believe his love for YT gave him the courage and confidence to do so. Likewise, YT let down her guard and learnt to be childish and be young for once and give up all her plotting and planning. My heart breaks for her when I think of her as a child.
In the same way, CF is great with QK! I feel like he's very similar to YT - all that plotting and planning and treachery. He is also an inherently kind person thanks to his mum's presence in his life but she was also of the sort that needed saving in his eyes. So the way QK came back for him after she found out that he lied to her was such a pivotal scene - he realized there was someone to save him as well! QK taught him to let his guard down and be loved for who he is. And QK is great with CF cos she knows how to deal with this kind of person thanks to her experience with YT.
I cannot imagine YQ and QK - would have been one of those typical, calm, smooth on the surface arranged marriages. At the most, they would have been great friends but they're both so adept at fighting their own battles that they'd be living as two separate people. And, YQ would have been dead by now lol. Likewise, CF and YT would have probably killed each other with all their plotting and planning lol! I cannot even begin to imagine how they could have let down their guard with each to establish a relationship of some sort!
Sorry -I am rambling :))) But YQ has left such an impression on me!!!! He is always communicating with YT at every step to ensure she knows that she is a priority in his life come what may, showing her how much he loves her and making her feel worthy of being loved by stepping down from his lofty position like it was nothing when compared to her, etc etc. And all that righteous anger on her behalf!!!Man! And the way YT looks at him! Like he's hung the moon and the stars for her :) Like, literally lol
Why must you make me cry like this after all the laughter??? WHy???????
Also, Tun emperor finally stepped up for the sake of his daughters. Yay!!!!
