So true! I gave up Fall In Love when it first came out cos I was put off by his character in the first episode and I picked it up again a couple of days ago because of CXX in The Starry Love and, it’s hard to imagine that they’re the same actor! His expressions when he falls in love there and here are so different! There, he’s still so guarded and wanting to be in control and sometimes, his charm seems calculated (which makes absolute sense given his background and story) whereas here, he’s so naturally open and innocent and like he’s experiencing everything fully and for the first time. The stars in his eyes seem so real 🥹✨ That scene during the sword dance when he looks at YT while she’s flying above him made me feel a certain way and it’s been a while since I felt this way about a character.

In a way, I guess SDYQ has the knowledge of what to do thanks to WenRen (and do it well too counting by the number of women who came looking for him!) which, in my eyes, is a BIG win for YT 🤣 As for if he can do it, well, YT is ever ready with her trusted jianmu fruit 😁

I admit he could do with a good slap on his face during the first few episodes but he is actually quite a smart, intelligent character once you get into the story :)

I had to do a double take and rewind to see if I saw right hahahahaha :) And his choice of costume was epic! Like the transparent off-the-shoulder robe like those worn by entertainers etc!

I have a feeling their lives are tied together cos they are spiritual essence from the same flower. So maybe if one dies, the other dies as well but their soul shards survive or some such

The characters make it so easy to do so :) I love seeing such positive, healthy characters and relationships!

I know! CXX is so damn good here! The childishness and affection and silliness and stoicism and his behaviour as the 3 shards and what not is all so good! I love all the actors here BUT he just stands out!

La Mu grunting out "Is hot and eye-catching. Not good????!!!!!!!" when the guy at Wen Ren's place asked him about his red hair was just so funny and gets funnier every time I see it LOL

I concur. They all work so bloody hard to bring these characters to life for us to experience and enjoy their stories and I am always so grateful to them for that. Not appreciating a character is one thing but personally attacking the actor is a whole other ball game and, not paying attention to such comments is one of the best ways to thwart it.

Okay, I would love to sit in YQ's class, where his siblings, his lover/wife, his faithful sidekick dragonfly and a prince from another realm are all passing it off as "Meh. Just another day in our life." LOL

I can imagine most of the remaining students being shit-scared and wondering what the heck was going on LOL
