I think so too. It's pretty light hearted compared to some of the other xianxia's and the angst is bearable. The pace is pretty quick which also helps...things are happening one after the other without letting us dwell on the heartbreaks etc.

HAHAHAHA Optimus Prime!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently it's his real voice, too! I think it's the whole whiplash from him being so silly, clumsy and a little bit naive and then he talks in that deep bassy voice and you go "WOAH! WHAT?!" lol. I think NHS was thinking from CCY's shoes as he seemed conflicted about leaving the academy. And that is what I respect about her. Yes she could have made it personal saying the academy is crap for kicking her daughter out and treating CCY like shit BUT she saw how conflicted CCY seemed about leaving and gave him some perspective by talking about the yellow and red cards. This way, when CCY is sure he wants to leave, he'll leave with clarity. And, you never know, maybe the director might just decide to change :) We all could do with second chances

I was thinking the same thing! His relationship with his parents is clearly a factor in how he's turned out to be. They are always there in the background supporting and cheering him on and yet, giving him the space to be who he wants to be. No judgement - just acceptance and encouragement. He's quick to apologize, reflect on himself, use his words carefully, etc when he communicates with others. Such an emotionally aware and mature person. I love that he is so comfortable in his skin! In a world filled with emotionally hurt people who've got baggage from childhood trauma, it's such a breath of fresh air to see such a wonderful example of a wholesome, healthy and 'normal' parent(s)-child relationship and the effect it has on the adult. :)

Very true! He's so positive, emotionally mature and yet, child-like. The way he teases her is so sweet. Nothing malicious or personal....just good fun to get her out of her comfort zone to open up more :) Who wouldn't love this guy!

My one beef would be why the actor's lips are so orange and his eyelids so pink! It's a bit distracting... I guess maybe cos he's quite fair/pale?
