Btw, I LOVED YQ's stand off with his dad :) Such a self assured and confident guy! And how he shrugged off "the spy's" hands and said " I know the way!" before walking off to take his punishment hahaha

I loved every instance of him being mad on YT's behalf :))) He's so ruthless when it comes to someone hurting her...makes me love him even more

Exactly! I was happy with the ending for IS as it was and the special episode just felt out of place. Same with LBFAD - she blooms from a flower and then we see some scenes from the whole show with a voice over. Why not just make it longer and end on a high note?

After crying my eyes out at the ending for Immortal Samsara, I tell myself it's okay whatever happens as long as the story justifies it :))))) But these lovely people need to end up in a world where they can be happy and carefree ....... pleaseeeee dear writers :(((((

I certainly hope so too. The angst, misunderstandings etc haven't been too intense or dragged out so far which gives me some hope that they'll end it on a happy note. I also hope it's a well rounded happy note (if it is one) and not some implied one with a flower blooming and You Qin and Chao Feng standing around looking at it and smiling types ://

I loved both IS and LBFAD and this seems like a perfect combo of the two 😀 If a less stoic & suffering Ying Yuan Dijun met DFQC we’d have this 😂 I love The Starry Love for its sheer enjoyment factor - such a fast paced story with the right amount of humour, angst, sweetness, sexiness, etc. It’s all there!

So true! I gave up Fall In Love when it first came out cos I was put off by his character in the first episode and I picked it up again a couple of days ago because of CXX in The Starry Love and, it’s hard to imagine that they’re the same actor! His expressions when he falls in love there and here are so different! There, he’s still so guarded and wanting to be in control and sometimes, his charm seems calculated (which makes absolute sense given his background and story) whereas here, he’s so naturally open and innocent and like he’s experiencing everything fully and for the first time. The stars in his eyes seem so real 🥹✨ That scene during the sword dance when he looks at YT while she’s flying above him made me feel a certain way and it’s been a while since I felt this way about a character.
