I think there’s something wrong already with DFQC carrying his responsibilities without damaging their relationship…
I guess she was triggered in that moment? She seemed to have thought that DFQC was a changed being now that his emotional tree had bloomed/blossomed and expected him to say something like "Yes yes, I shall leave Shuiyuntian alone" or some such. Goes to show that she has some growing up of her own to do :) I think the real issue would be if she keeps thinking this way - like how she is preventing DFQC from seeing CH in the mortal realm because she believes that DFQC would kill him. I hope she gives him a chance to see what he would actually do if they do meet and not assume that it will be all death and gore :)
I find the perspective of the story interesting. Like, if CH was the 'hero' of the story, DFQC would have been the 'evil demon' and it would have been quite straightforward. But now that we're seeing into the mind of the demon, it's loads and loads of grey.
I fast foward some of Esther scenes cause of her voice.
It grows on you tbh :) I had the same issue but then, as she started interacting with the other characters and the story progressed, I find that it suits her very well (even though I know it's her real voice). And even though I don't know the language, I find that her inflections are pretty pleasing to the ear. It offsets the deeper voice of DFQC quite well.
Honestly, the reason I loved this scene was because he could have used this as an opportunity to remove her hairpin…
I also feel like it fits his character to ask for the hairpin as opposed to just taking it - if that makes sense? He has never been scheming or cunning and has lived his whole life with a lot of integrity as he has had the power to be so once he mastered Hellfire and became the Moon Supreme (unlike his brother Xue Feng who has had to fight for his place in the world which is why he is so cunning and devious). It's been all black and white with no grays for him. So in his head, why resort to deviousness when being straightforward gives him results anyways. I think little Orchid has made him realise that he can CHOOSE to retain this integrity and make decisions by being aware of himself and his emotions - which imho is such a badass way to grow as a character.
just finished binge-watching till ep.14. my fav scene is DFQC lifting his dress running frantically to CH.. lol.…
True..I was very apprehensive after his Miss The Dragon (even though he looked gorgeous in that as well!) and kept putting this off. But my gosh he's doing such an amazing job here!! And his styling is such a feast for the eyes! That royal blue and the high collars!!! It is clear he's a lot more comfortable in this drama :)
While no IS today, I am neighboring at LBFD premiere. Haha🤣🥹🤗💖 but still Immortal is my First LOve,…
I've got to say, you're such a joy MJ19! You're one of the few people who actually exudes so much positivity and cheer and simple happiness via text language! I've been enjoying your interactions and wanted to let you know (I have zero clue on how to get a heart done on the laptop keyboard so I'd like you to picture me sending you one please) :)
Apparently that esther's real voice which is already high pitch irl.
Bless her but her voice is...super distracting. I really want to enjoy this drama as it's one of my fav genres but I cannot zone her out to be able to do that :((((
That's her real voice, isn't it? I remember it from Moonlight lol! Everything looks pretty and all but is the…
Ah so it isn't just me :) Especially that scene at Luifang Pavilion where she was looking at the destiny book and then poof! we are taken somewhere else before I had any time to register it lol!
That's her real voice, isn't it? I remember it from Moonlight lol! Everything looks pretty and all but is the editing choppy or am I just losing focus too often :(
Same!!!!!! I am rewatching it too and it's even more interesting the next time around. I honestly felt the same…
Orr...after ep 06 and YY saying he's having dreams about events he feels are to do with his past anytime he is on the verge of becoming a demon, is he actually Xuan Ye whose Asura powers have been bound and given the immortal powers of the heavens ? O_O So many wonderful questions !!!!
Rewatching because I love it so much!!!I find it adorable that the Great Lord Ying Yuan (who has fought in wars…
Same!!!!!! I am rewatching it too and it's even more interesting the next time around. I honestly felt the same as YD seems like the only immortal who doesn't kowtow to YY (or anybody else pretty much lol) and YY is liking this being treated as a friend thing by someone he saw grow up.
So after ep 05, I can't contain my excitement so I really want to know - is Ran Qing the Primordial Lord the immortal that fell in love with Xuan Ye the Asura king?????? If so, she would be YY's mother and also the person who made the rule that immortals shouldn't fall in love!
Well. He certainly looks damn good for such an old person. I think all that tortoise flipping is what's keeping his looking young and youthful. And now, YD.
the budget for this drama must have been sufficient because the main leads Cheng yi and Yangzi barely had the…
The constant haughty and naughty expression on TZ's face is such a joy to see! Especially cos its such a change from his serene and serious and sorrowful one when he was YY.
I think if YingYuan and her talked about their real thoughts/feeling back then, i think she would not misundertand…
I am wondering though if he would have opened up to her when in heaven as YY..he was too conditioned by the whole "supreme deities are forbidden to have love relationships" reasoning and to top it off, he was responsible for punishing those that broke this rule. Which seems to be the main reason why he kept his thoughts to himself as he had seen how torturous the punishments were. He made the decision for her so to speak...and she was too naive to read between his lines . YD was definitely too impulsive and was trying to save him and her sister and the next door neighbour's cat - basically everyone except herself!

I crack myself up sometimes
She can read the leaves...:D
