You forget something important... main leads get a free pass for most things, and that's fine since the whole…
You comes under second category, so please stay ignorant. No one cares.

I’m not reading all that, sorry, but just to respond to your first few sentences, I think people are criticising…
She herself with her own full consent agreed for contract marriage then herself broke it by doing an affair with soon to be brother in law & you are telling me Dohan wasnt letting her go. At first in ep 10 he tried to not let her go but in the end he himself realised his mistake and was going to reveal his secret to protect them. He was just selfish for lil bit of time but your favs were asshole all 10 eps. What about that? Thats why reading full post is important if you want to make reply to someone's post. Otherwise half baked knowledge is always harmful.

you’re so right! He knew from a young age they didn’t like or accept him yet he chose to stick around so if…
He has always been like that. He was an asshole to Ahjung all the time, badmouthing her, harassing her by following her everywhere, giving her roles through connections and then falling for her, who was soon to be his brother's fiancee. Ahjung was supposed to be smart, yet she still fell for such a red flag, which is kind of amusing to me.
He neither cared for Ahjung's feelings nor for Dohan's. He always cared about his own feelings, so it didnt matter if others were getting hurt by him or not and then he also had the audacity to blame others. I started laughing when he blamed Ahjung for not telling him that she was in a contract marriage with Dohan. Lol. She was in a contract, and it was not something she could share with anyone and by the way, when he realized his brother was gay, supposedly tricking Ahjung, did he tell her everything about Dohan? No. See what kind of hypocrite he is.

Going to the press conference again proved he never cared for his brother's feeling. Dohan finally got the courage to come out of his closet and was going to face everything head on but again, it felt like Jihan imposed his decision on him by not letting him come out of his closet. I dont see any sacrifice or anything in it, just like how others claim.

JIHAN IS TRASH and this is a fact. Im surprised to see how people are ignorant toward one particular character, Dohan; they are calling him trash, selfish and a coward just for not coming out of the closet. Like, for real? Whether he chooses to reveal his sexual orientation or not is entirely his personal decision; he owes no explanation to anyone. Some even argue that his reluctance to come out negatively impacts others, branding him as selfish. Really? What harm has he caused to others? He was simply minding his own business entering a contract marriage with his best friend's full consent (no, he never forced her, instead your favorite so called pitiful ML's actions forced her to agree to the marriage). Yet Dohan is the one labeled selfish and cowardly. Its laughable.
Did these people even realize what consequences he can face if he comes out of the closet? Dont be ignorant of the community who is facing discrimination every other day for their sexual orientation. You guys dont even know what it is meant to be coming out in Asian society. I dont belong to the LGBT community but i have seen for myself the consequences of people coming out of their closet and how badly they got treated for their sexual orientation.
People who are ignorant towards Dohan, only three reasons can justify their ignorance: Either they are from the West and dont know how the LGBT community faces discrimination in Asian society. Second, blinded by Lead's visuals, these people are mostly immature teenagers. Or people who are straight or maybe homophobic and dont know the struggle of the LGBT community. If you are not from Asia and dont know about cultural things about the LGBT community and cant understand it, then please stop watching Asian dramas because these dramas strictly represent Asian/Korean culture with a realistic approach. Its not their fault if you cant understand them. For the other two kinds of people, I dont have anything to say to you; you guys can keep being ignorant. No one cares.

The marriage contract was something done with both of their consent, both were getting something out of it, yet only Dohan is selfish. Why? Because he isnt the main lead and from people's perspective, he is coming in between their favorite pair.
But same people are blinded by Jihan's visual that they cant see how big of a red flag he is. He is just a dominant male chauvinist who only knows to force himself on others. He doesnt care about their feelings but only wants to achieve his goals by hook or crook. He knew the chairman wasnt going to give him the chair position; thats why he wanted to use his brother for his selfish desires, but when the same chairman tried to get him married to Chaewon, he rejected it because at that time his love and his feelings come first. He was even disrespectful to Ahjung all the time; I dont even get how she even fell for this big red flag. Love is indeed blind. She was supposed to be smart out of all. LMAO. I saw some even defended his actions by saying how step sibling hated him and made his life miserable then who the hell told him to live in that family? Just like his brother, he could have also abandoned family and company and lived somewhere else and based on his education could have landed a job that could pay his livelihood bills. Even his gay brother was able to make his own career abroad by himself despite prejudices but Jihan never left his trashy family. Why? Because he was totally blinded by his greed for the company and thats the fact. No matter how you defend him, the fact will remain the same that HE IS A SELFISH PRICK.

Discrimination and racism are everywhere, not only in South Korea. Korea is not like how dramas try to portray…
Actually, recently in my country (india) there was a surge of hate towards Korea based on a Youtuber's video. She claimed Koreans were racist toward Indians, sparking widespread negativity on Instagram and Youtube. It bothered me how everyone judged an entire country based on one video. My point is that racism exists everywhere, including in India.

In that video, the girl didn't present the entire truth. For example, when she mentioned Indians not being allowed in bars, she failed to mention that many bars have a similar policy for all foreigners to protect them from potential harm. There were instances where foreigners were taken advantage of by cab drivers after getting drunk, which led to these protective measures.

She also highlighted a shop where the owner posted a sign saying Indians and Pakistanis weren't allowed. However, people weren't aware of the disruptive behavior of some Indians in the restaurant, which prompted the owner to take such drastic action. While it wasn't right for the owner to post that sign, he removed it after complaints.

Unfortunately, people often jump on the hate bandwagon without knowing the full reality. Additionally, dramas contribute to a distorted image of Korea, whether positive or negative, and people naively believe it, which is even more concerning.

Discrimination and racism are everywhere, not only in South Korea. Korea is not like how dramas try to portray it, whether it's romantic drama or bullying related drama. In both genres, there is extremism. In romance dramas, you will see how everything looks dreamy and positive to the point where you want to shift to their country. Whereas, in bullying dramas/thrillers, they will show everything negatively to the point where you start believing this is how actual Korea looks, like a total horror film for anyone to live in. But Korea isn't like this. Korea lies somewhere between these two extremes. It's neither a dreamy land to live in nor a total horror film. It's pretty normal, like any other country, where you will meet good and bad people at every point.

Coming to the point you raised about racism, you will see it everywhere, not just in Korea. Just because a few Youtubers try to vandalize the image of Korea with an agenda of how each and every Korean is racist doesn't mean all Koreans are like that. These Youtubers try to catch eyeballs with scandalous content, which is why you will only see negative content where they portray Korea as such. They know that if you speak against Korea and try to make Indians victims, you will get a lot of views, and you will make a large amount of money out of it. So don't just believe those Youtubers easily. Try to watch different vloggers, especially foreigners, including many Indians, who either live in Korea or travel to Korea, and check how their experience is. You will see a lot of positive responses for Korea as well as negative responses. You can even explore the country and its cities and experience it yourself.

Im also an indian and there was one girl on Youtube who made a video on how Korea is racist toward Indians, and it went viral. Everyone started saying bad things about Korea, but they conveniently forget how India is also a big racist country. There is racism toward both South and Northeast people in India. They call names to Northeast people like "Chong ching chung," "Aye Chinese," "Choti aankhwale," etc. For South people, they will say "kaali bhains" and whatnot. Leaving Indians aside, you can even see Indian men saying BTS and K-pop are gay and Koreans are gay in every Instagram reel comment section. So if this is not racism, then what? Recently, there was even a horrendous incident that happened in India with a Spanish couple. So with all these things, is it okay to judge a whole country based on these only a few people? Obviously not. The same applies to Korea or any other country.

The world is full of racism, and you will meet good and bad people. It is part and parcel of life. And if you go to any country with expectations based on what you watched in some dramas/movies, it will not happen to you. Because the total reality is never shown in any drama/movie, and you can't define reality by seeing things in fiction.

This drama being 8.4 and higher ranked than FlexXCop lol MDL ratings 🗑️
Both shows belong to different genres, and viewers rate them based on their preferences. For instance, if they enjoy romcoms, they tend to give higher ratings, while for thrillers they scrutinize the logic and execution before rating them. Thrillers are critiqued more harshly, which is justified since they rely on logic and execution. However, Im not suggesting that romcoms with no storyline, like King the Land and My Demon, should receive higher ratings. At least in this show, there is a distinct storyline and the characters are quite flawed.
When it comes to thrillers, if the execution and logic are impeccable, their ratings often increase after the show concludes. For example, Revenant goes from 8.2/8.3 to 8.7, TFR goes up from 8.2 to 8.6, Vigilante & Knight Flower from 8.3 to 8.5, and Shop for Killers from 8.6 to 8.8. On the other hand, romcoms tend to see a decline in ratings towards the end. King the Land and My Demon as well as TSOPMC, experience a drop from 8.7 to 8.3 and MLL goes down from 8.7 to 8.1. Towards the conclusion of dramas, the introduction of cliche tracks often leads to a continuous decline in ratings.

Honestly its very avg. I still dont understand whats happening in the show, FL's personality is quite unlikable and her acting is below avg.

Whats with all this fuss about India? Im an Indian, but I didn't see anything wrong in all three episodes I have watched. Yes, the caste system exists here and they used it as an example, but I didn't get offended. Personally I dont see what there was even to get offended about.

Show tried to take a dig at iconic fantasy characters like goblin, gumiho and grim reaper but ended up becoming the biggest joke of the year. (Reference: when Guwon mocked these characters in the early episodes)

So why are you comment with your second account not main account?
Yes I read that review as well. It was very well written and the user analyzed this drama very well. Im actually planning to binge watch this drama so I wanted to know if its worth it or not. Thats why I read a few reviews. I also liked a few others so now I will decide whether to watch it or not.

So why are you comment with your second account not main account?
Not everyone is a hater. Im planning to watch this show which is why I was reading many reviews. The first review with 200+ likes, I thought it must be a really good review because 200+ people liked it. However, when I read the review it was nothing but a rant against haters. How can people make it the top review, which is nothing but a rant against haters? Many viewers will come to check reviews if they are planning to binge watch and if this kind of review is on top then I dont know what to say.
I also read a few other reviews. For example the second one criticized the drama but it was a properly written review and the user had something to say about the drama not about haters. I also read other 10/10 rated reviews and they also seemed to be properly written. I liked Shinnosuke Lee's review where he gave it a 10/10, and he expressed his thoughts very well.

So why are you comment with your second account not main account?
I got your point. At first I didn't understand what that person wanted to say by saying "come from main account" but after reading their comment I understood what the user actually meant. That's why I explained. Later I checked that top reviewer's account and realized that the account was actually fake created only to rant against haters. I believe the main account of that user is none other than this person Wookie. That's why he/she defended badly, saying, "Why don't you come from the main account?" Such a hypocrite he/she is.
