I'm genuinely so confused why chinese people are hating this drama... I saw some comments on YouTube of people saying that the Chinese readers think the story is totally different from the novel and that yifan is so much "pitiful" compared to the novel, but........... I don't think she's pitiful at all? like her childhood was harsh but for me just because she's an introvert and not-noisy doesn't mean she's weak? and I'm on episode 12 right now and I don't think that at any moment Sang Yan did things because he pitied her but because he likes her and wants to be around her so much because he likes her and that's also his way of approaching her (being useful).I really don't know if it's my lack of interpretation or if the translations I read were lacking but if someone could just point me were this drama is lacking I would love to hear it (I really mean it!!!)ps.: I don't even know if chinese readers are actually hating it, but I saw a comment that the director is actually re-editing some scenes – and if someone could confirm it I would also like to hear it 😭
