taemu is already whipped omg...how he looked at her throughout the whole episode....I'm crying
When he went to see her to drop off the tonics her grandfather sent but he also bought her ointment for eye because he was wondering how the bruise was :')
As someone who loved the manhwa and was so excited for this drama I'm so happy how it turned out. They changed…
Same. I was a bit worried about how it would turn out but so far they've managed to keep the fun about the manhwa that I love. Since the manhwa doesn't have much conflict, the slight changes to create conflict aren't too bad & are necessary for a drama.
It's not funny that the grandfather got hurt but it is funny thinking about him learning Hari is Geumhui. I really hope they don't let me down with his reaction. Anyways, episode 4 gave us the let me take you shopping & buy you clothes cliché, the let me put your shoe on for you cliché, & the view is pretty but you're prettier cliché & I'm not complaining at all.
I finished episode 9 & it was so annoying how Qin Chu asked Cong Rong not to come between her & Shao Qing when 1) there's nothing to come between as if he liked her he would've made a move all those years & 2) his actions have made it clear that he likes Cong Rong so she's actually the one trying to come between them.
Both her and their daughter were cold and bitchy towards him and then they were surprised that he felt uncomfortable…
When the daughter told her mom "I also want to live with dad" I thought could've fooled me. & when the mom told her daughter "me & your dad need time" when she told her it was okay to divorce I thought so allowing him to leave the house helps? I understand that they see him as doing whatever he wants (leaving for work & coming back) & that it's awkward after spending years apart but they didn't even make an effort.
I wanna slap the 2nd FL each time she shows up on camera. What a nasty personality.
It's so irritating to see her think she has a right to tell Siwoo what to do but it's funny to see her act as if her husband is the only one who is wrong in their relationship (like when she was talking about not wanting to register their marriage).
I'm thinking about how the grandfather would react to finding out they are in a contract relationship & you know the drama lover that he is would love that 😂 Anyways, I like how episode 3 continues to give us the fun cliché moments while starting to set up the main couple having deeper discussions as the drama progresses.
I know it was supposed to be dramatic, & it was childish, but I was laughing when Kijun & Siwoo were fighting during the press briefing. Maybe it was the way they were fighting or how the scene was filmed but I found it funny 😂
I think I understand why Yu Rim didn't apologize now that I'm seeing what they're trying to do (at least what…
I think the point about how Heedo behaved & how she (mom) was only doing her job was fine to make but the way she relayed it was awful & baffling seeing as her words didn't show what she told her granddaughter. She knows how badly Heedo wanted that & worked for it so she really couldn't put her strict teaching mode aside for a day & congratulate her or something? She knows Heedo is being trashed by the media & fans yet still speaks harshly to her upon first seeing her instead of making sure she's okay? What exactly happened between them for their relationship to be like that? Though based on the future moments that we get, I guess that they resolve things & maybe that's why Minchae is under the impression that Heedo had her mom's support & that things were easy for her because of her success career (until she started reading the diary & slowly started realizing that wasn't true). Because she has a good relationship with her grandmother, that's probably why it's easy for her to see her as good & Heedo as not understanding. It's kind of ironic given her own relationship with Heedo, except Heedo actually shows she's proud/supports Minchae. But, yeah, I think that conversation made most viewers bitter towards Heedo's mom more than anything else.

True, I guess it would've been too soon for her as well since the bitterness of the loss is still fresh & Heedo basically telling her to leave wouldn't have made her want to apologize. (No, I'm not blaming Heedo in case anyone thinks that's what that meant.) & I agree with what you think they're trying to do with the chat reveal. I think it's a good way of having Yurim self reflect with enough time (or episodes) to have it not feel forced. I really don't understand her mom because there's been moments where she secretly shows interest/care in Heedo but then her words & actions in front of Heedo don't match up.
I thought that the conversations between Heedo's mom & her granddaughter & Yijin & Yurim were good as they revealed what I thought about them regarding the situation that happened. (That the mom was doing her job & that Yurim didn't anticipate how the media would react). However, I'm a bit disappointed that Heedo's mom didn't comfort her by telling her what she told her granddaughter & that Yurim didn't apologize to Heedo when they saw each other. I know Heedo & her mom have their issues but I don't know why she would bring up the situation in that way. As for Yurim, I guess pride & embarrassment stopped her from apologizing but ignoring the aftermath of the match isn't helping either of them. Maybe now that she knows Heedo is her online friend it will help her to see past her own struggles & hurt, at least that is what I hope happens.
agreed! i mentioned in an earlier comment that i wouldn't excuse her poor sportsmanship even if i could understand…
I think some are taking Heedo's words of "a fencer knows who is faster" to mean that Yurim knows she lost & is being a sore loser. But, we see that Yurim actually believes that she was faster. As you mentioned, the technology wasn't great & there was no clear shot, so it's not that Yurim is being unprofessional or unsportsmanlike but that she is standing by what she believes in. Even to this day it's been many years since controversial calls have happened & the players are retired but they will still stand by their statement of publicly saying the call was bad. & these, or worse, reactions happen all the time during international games so I don't know why people think that just because it's at a worldwide level athletes won't/shouldn't act this way. However we feel about their actions is a different story, but it happens all the time.
Just because we know Heedo's feelings of admiration towards Yurim were true it doesn't mean that Yurim knew that or that she had to automatically accept them. Of course I don't like her attitude towards Heedo, as I've been hoping for their friendship since day 1, but some are acting as if because Yurim didn't want to be friends it meant she is evil & has it out for Heedo. While she hasn't been nice, I don't think she's crossed the line, though I know some will say she did in ep 7. It's funny because people probably think I'm on Yurim's side/think she should've won or like her but I've actually loved Heedo since ep 1 & think she's going to be one of my top characters. & my responses aren't to dismiss what happened to Heedo because my heart hurt seeing what happened to her. It's just that the majority of viewers are on the "I hate Yurim" or "Yurim should know better as an athlete" train & most of the posts before were only bashing her so I wanted to express my views from the perspective of a sports fan. Though I won't say I like or agree with all her actions, I can understand where Yurim is coming from. Also, I feel as if she has much room for growth & that's exciting as a drama viewer.
