I haven't finished it yet but I think it's a cute & fun drama so far. Does anyone have any recommendations for other Chinese web series or short length series?

If you have watched the episode properly... Than you would have known that FL has only said those words from mouth…
I'm going to explain this & then not respond anymore because I think you're missing the point where I'm saying these are *my* feelings as a viewer. My original post only meant to share what I felt & wasn't questioning or asking for an explanation. You can't change my viewing experience because you aren't me. I don't hate FL nor am I saying she shouldn't act a certain way. & I am not saying I don't understand her situation or actions. I can understand all of that & still feel the way I did. I hope that made more sense.

When she first heard about taking her father abroad, she first wanted to discuss it with the ML. But he was ignoring…
I guess I should've made it clear that by calling her dense I was referring to her not realizing that SML likes her since it seems like some may think that applies only to the situation with her father. & by "not trust the advice of an actual doctor" I meant when they were actually having a conversation about it. I know she was speaking in the moment but it doesn't mean that I have to like what she said. I never said she shouldn't be angry or upset. I can understand her actions & still be frustrated as a viewer. As I mentioned to someone else, there were just my own feelings after finishing the episodes. It doesn't mean that I hate her or anything.

I really like your comments.fl is being clingy to SML.Now I hate her.
If anything, SML is being clingy towards her. & I don't hate her. She frustrated me, though I know why she was acting the way she was.

I did watch the episode properly & know she was speaking out because her feelings were hurt. & obviously I know she wouldn't gamble with her father's health like that but it was just frustrating to hear her say those words after what he was telling her. & I didn't say I hate sml or that he's a creep but that I don't like pushy characters (like what he's showing so far). You didn't need to explain the episode to me as these were just my own feelings after finishing the episodes.

Oh, I so badly wanted to hit my screen when she was disregarding an actual doctor's advice, I was like, seriously?
I understand that she was upset with him but she knows what kind of doctor he is. She could've asked Dr. Gao for her opinion instead if she didn't want to speak to him in that moment.

EDIT: These were *my* feelings after finishing these episodes. They aren't hating on characters (except for San San & Gu Xiao) nor saying I don't understand why they're acting the way that they did. It's just how *I* felt about certain things.

Episodes 13-14 had me thinking "c'mon FL, you can't be that dense!" (Yes, I know people are indeed that dense.) & it was frustrating to see her, once again, not trust the advice of an actual doctor but rather listen to someone who has clue but is just trying to play the knight in shinning armor role. (I think these eps really highlighted their age for me.) Speaking of Shao Jiang, I absolutely dislike pushy characters like him. Zhi Xiao already told him that she likes someone & it's clear that she sees Shao Jiang as a respected senior/friend yet he still keeps trying to cross boundaries. I know some will say "all is fair in love & war" but I never care for that kind of behavior. Also, these two episodes made me care even less about San San & Gu Xiao. Just because they are friends to FL & ML & think they know what's going on between them based on what they've been told, that doesn't give them right to poke their nose in & make decisions on behalf of them. It made me laugh when Gu Xiao told San San something like "they're adults. let them handle their business" as if he also hadn't interfered already.

Gu Xiao and San San are so annoying.
Their scenes seem to be just thrown in there & I still don't see their purpose. Yes, comic relief but I don't find either very funny or even likeable.

Yeah.. Sitting there watching the scene where Mijo meets up with Seonwoo's dad. The words coming out of his mouth,…
We already knew that he was trash because of how he dealt with Seonwoo's sister but he made me even more upset this episode. The way he talks about adoption you'd think it's this heinous crime.

Different expectations or not doesn't change that the writing of this drama is incredibly contrived and the direction…
This drama wasn't what I was expecting but I placed aside that & viewed the story for what it was. However, as you mentioned, the direction is uninspired & has made it difficult for me to feel a connection to the characters or characters. (Johee is the only one that I'm really interested in but unfortunately her character has been underused.) If the drama was more episodes & I had something better to watch, then I definitely would've dropped it.

I was so excited to watch this drama but seeing low rating and bad comments made me hesitate a lot
I don't pay much attention to ratings but I guess based on comments you can kind of tell if this is the kind of drama for you. There's only 3 episodes left so you can binge or wait until the drama is over to read reviews.

I don't know to start this drama or not. Is it still good after 8 eps?
Personally, I don't think it's a drama you'd miss out on if you didn't watch & I wouldn't recommend it to others. It starts off tolerable but then starts to feel off as it goes on. But there's a few people liking it so maybe you will too. If you have time, then maybe you could watch for yourself or wait until the drama is done airing.

That cake shop had me shaking my head disbelief wondering what other unbelievable scene(s) we'll see next. But, anyways, Seonwoo's dad is so despicable. I'm tired of his arc & now we're going to have to deal with Mijo's birth mother next 😩 Thankfully, this show is almost over.

Can we just talk about how Chae Yoo Jin is one of the biggest gaslighters I have ever seen in a Kdrama? It kinda…
I'm so glad that you pointed this out. A while back I was having this discussion with another viewer. But, as the episodes went on and Kijoon began to act even more ridiculous, viewers started to focus even more on him being trash & saying that at least she was trying. & I was confused thinking trying what? To not take accountability for her own decisions? Aside from what you mentioned, her saying that she got married "because he asked" & then that whole conversation about not wanting to register their marriage made me chuckle. I'm not going to excuse Kijoon's actions but, though she's not in your face like he is, she's horrible too.
On The Oath of Love Mar 21, 2022
I'm watching episode 8 & I'm laughing at when Gu Wei is trying to explain that his relationship with Dr. Gao is only professional Zhi Xiao thinks he's trying to tell her not to spread rumors. & then when he says he wishes he had someone to spoil him like she's spoiling her dad she responds by asking him if he wants to get sick. He's got to be more direct with someone like her 😂
On Legally Romance Mar 21, 2022
I said it after watching episode 15 & I'll say it again now that I've watched up until episode 18 but I really like the message they're showing with the "love rivals" - that you shouldn't ruin yourself (or others) because of unrequited love & that truly liking someone means wanting them to be happy, even if you can't be by their side. I know that's easier said than done for some people but I'm glad to see two of the characters take this route rather than the usual rejected character who clings or tries & sabotage the relationship of the person they like.

You'll see how amazing and truthful she is to her friends in Ep 17. Qian Wei has already made her such a big favor…
Oh, I've always thought she was a nice girl but by saying I felt neutral I meant her character didn't have a strong impact for me so far. But, she really shined in episode 16-18 though. I do want her to succeed (like Qian Wei keeps telling her) in the future.

We shouldn't be surprised by his shameless behavior, but it irritates me seeing him talk to her & wanting advice.…
Yes, I personally haven't encountered such people (& I hope I never do) but my sister was telling me a story about one of her friend's that was in a somewhat similar situation - except her friend actually told the ex to f off.

I knew that a troublemaker like him would be back.
Yes, I knew he wouldn't go away so easily after threatening her once. I definitely agree that he should go take a dive in the ocean.

I literally laughed when Hakyung told Kijoon "you weren't that bad" (or whatever she said) because girl, don't you remember your conversation with Siwoo where you basically were saying he's a man child??? & I thought that she took Siwoo's dad to call his bluff & shut down the compensation money talks but then she just stood there while he agitated Siwoo & tried to tell Siwoo that maybe he was worried??? I don't know what the writer was trying to accomplish with that for her character, except to have more of an excuse for Siwoo to let her go.

Also, I honestly don't care about the senior forecaster & his wife getting a divorce but the way she brought up it/talked about it without accepting her own faults is annoying. & it's irritating that just because she wants to end the relationship she wants to stop her daughter from having one with him. I know that happens frequently in real life but that doesn't make it less irritating.
