I finished ep 12 & here are some of my personal thoughts (I know others may not agree but this is just for me to vent): The identity of the culprit seemed random since they didn't do a good job in setting up clues beforehand, like I knew it wouldn't be obvious but they could've done a better job. & I laughed at the audacity of Ma Ri to think she can start over with Raphael acting as if she never falsely accused him of domestic violence (which she never apologized for but argued it was done for the sake of his love) or as if she still isn't keeping secrets from him. I think the ending of this ep & the preview for the next one are tricking us about her intentions to work with Chairman Kim but who knows. As for the focus shifting back on Woori choosing between the two men, it is annoying as it makes her seem undecisive (though she says she has her mind made up). Like others have said, at this point I would like her to end up alone, though I do agree with the points being made of it kind of defeating the purpose of pushing this as a romcom & even having a love triangle.
i'm really enjoying this drama. the characters are just mad, the whole town is crazy haha. i think wontak, that…
I believe Dahyun said she had an accident so she doesn't really remember things so it makes sense that she wouldn't recognize them. I don't know about the other two, though I guess they'll probably say something like it's been years since they moved away/they moved away when they were still young.
Aside from the mystery & dark comedy, I'm really loving the hazy feelings of how scenes are filmed & the quirky vibes of the show. It's different & fresh so, for those thinking of starting this, I think it's worth giving a watch. Below I will write slight spoilers so stop reading here if you want to avoid.
Though I think most of us knew, I'm glad that they cleared up the relationship between the ML & FL so that he wouldn't hold that doubt. I had a feeling that the stalker had been alive when they put him in the fridge & I liked that they showed us so while still keeping us asking what happened to him. His sister also gives off stalker vibes but I also understand her wanting to know his whereabouts. &, though they haven't really done anything bad, I lowkey find the police lady & FL's mom annoying - there's just something about them that I don't really like right now.
Given what she's said about marriage before, I was a bit confused as to why Raphael would propose in that moment - like it would've made more sense to me if he hadn't heard her words to his father. However, I actually do think that the conflict of not being on the same page about marrying for the sake of the baby is a good one that they needed to have. So, I guess it's a good thing that it's happening now rather than being rushed in the last episode.
Am I the only one who got second-hand embarrassment when Raphael danced... and proposed?🫣
I was about to comment that too. Also, didn't Woo Ri already tell him that she wasn't fond of public displays like that? Even if she didn't, he already heard her words about marriage when she spoke to his father so I was a bit confused about why he proposed.
Is it so scary or horror because i am fricking coward ?
I also don't like scary or horror & the start of the first episode had me thinking that's how this show was going to be, but it's not. There are moments where the ghosts or evil spirits can be creepy but it's nothing that will give you nightmares.
I generally like how the ghost's backstories were so normal and almost mundane instead of epic tales of betrayal…
Yes, I also appreciated that about the backstories for the reason you said. It would've felt like too much if they all had some very tragic backstory (like our lead couple's past selves).
I watched Mr. Queen after it finished airing & felt that loss of not watching it as it aired. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did, since I'm not really a fan of historical dramas. It's hard to find a drama that will give me the feelings it did, but FNOS definitely brought me that viewer anticipation & sadness of finishing it. I'm sure I'll check out other dramas but I'm not expecting those feelings.
I guess some will nitpick things about the final episode but I thought it was a good end to a great drama. This drama wasn't even on my radar at all & when I started the first minutes of the first episode I wasn't sure about it. I'm so glad that I decided to watch - it's been one of the few fun dramas that have aired this year. What I mean by that is that it has just the right amount of comedy to not be so heavy (which heavy seems to be a popular tone of dramas for the past couple of months) & it stays pretty consistent throughout. It definitely deserves more hype than it got & I would recommend it!
I'm finally all caught up & though this isn't the best drama & I'm not fond of the FL's acting, it's not too bad to pass the time. It's really not meant to be taken serious (at least for me) & definitely does give me telenovela vibes (yes, I know it's a remake of an American show that is loosely based on a telenovela). Below I'm going to list some of my overall thoughts so far so if you want to avoid spoilers, then stop reading here.
1. Women who falsely accuse men of domestic abuse are the absolute worst & even if Ma Ri has shown moments of hesitating I hope she does pay for everything she did. 2. Woo Ri's mom & Raphael's dad are annoying for different reasons. 3. Kang Jae is a nice guy but I never felt anything about his relationship with Woo Ri so I don't really feel sorry for him that it ended. 4. Though their breakup seemed abrupt, I think the reasoning behind it makes sense. It's difficult to be with someone if trust is broken or if you feel like you have to walk on eggshells with them. 5. I also don't care about Woo Ri & Raphael as a couple, though I kind of accepted that it would happen since the start.
Just finished episode 15 & I like how they ended Mr. Nam's arc. It had me tearing up. The farewell with the ghosts was bittersweet. There's not been a single moment when I haven't been invested in this drama & I don't think the ending will let me down, at least I hope not. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode but at the same time I'm dreading it because it's the last ðŸ˜
There's only one review but has anyone else who has watched it have something different to say, like is this a good watch if you want something to pass the time?
The ending didnt even meet my expectation. Yes I know its happy ending (I dont want to comment about the melo…
For me, the drama met my expectations in the sense that I knew certain things would be rushed for the sake of a happy ending. As for the sports element, yeah, it was a real letdown. I hope that we will get an actual good sports drama sometime soon.
While I would've liked to see more focus on their journey as athletes rising to the top, I did like that this drama touched on the uglier side of sports - including treating one as an outcast, bad coaching, arrogant athletes, & the guilt & pain of a career ending injury. However, towards the second half of the drama, the writing felt flat & failed to keep me really caring about characters (except for Taejoon). While it's not the worst drama, it is a weak sports drama (for those that like that genre) & it's not one I would jump to recommend to others.
Bro his doctor might as well adopt him his bio mom is still a mess also I still don't like Taeyang bio mom I mean…
Yeah, I don't know if the writer meant that to be a heartwarming moment but it didn't work for me. She thought praying for her would be better than having an actual conversation with her daughter? 😒 (In case someone gets offended, I have nothing against praying. I'm only commenting on her mom's neglect.)
While Junyoung and Taejun were competing for badminton titles their mum was apparently competing for the title…
I don't know who is the winner here because what's worse - abandoning your child & starting a new family or being present in their lives but ignoring them/their feelings to place their sibling above them ðŸ˜
Junyoung: I'm fine with Taeyang & Taejoon being partners. I made up with Taeyang. I've let go but how can I move on if you (mom) won't let me by feeling sorry for me. Her mom: ME! ME! ME! It's all about how I feel!
This is why their mom stays being the only character that I hate in this show. While I've disliked others at times or still don't really care for them, at least they've had a moment or two where they have tried making up for their wrongs (even if it seemed quick/weak writing). However, I can't think of a single good moment that their mom has had (yes, I don't count the scenes when she ate hamburgers with him & had Junyoung send him food because I had issues with those as well). Even if we're being tricked by ep 16's preview & she reluctantly gives Taeyang & Taejoon her blessings, it will not change how I feel. Anyways, the best part about episode was seeing Seungwoo play his final match. I'm glad that he got to have one final farewell on the court. & about him saying he'll wait for Youngshim, (I have mixed feelings about the "I'll wait years for you" type of thinking but) he's a good guy who I would like to see get his happy ending at least when it comes to love.
And the voice-over they did for the romantic scenes is hilarious 🤣🤣. Glad no cringy scenes in this drama.…
I couldn't stop laughing at that voice-over scene or how Seulhae & Chawoong themselves were stop each other from having moments 😂 &, yes, I will excuse the coffee song because it also made me laugh seeing him act like that 😂
