don't fret, y'all, it is a happy ending! (don't skip the intros/Netflix subs are shit)
Netflix subs are off for this one. They are subtitles for things not even said on screen. It took me awhile but I sorta stop reading. The subs were more confusing.
I also found the portrayal of the autistic boy poorly performed, unauthentic and loaden with clichees, the Korean…
The cliched character for the young man is bad however the stories themselves are good. I felt bad because they made the actor so badly socialized- no therapy or socialization skills. However the slice of life story each episode is good.
Geez this drana cannot be a marathoned drama. My hubby thought I was sick but I didn't tell him I am a watering pot because of this drama. O M G. These type of drama just kills you.
There is an English dubbed version....that's what people are complaining about
I understand the need to fit into 2 lines of subs but my god some of the expressions are so Americaned. I think I am watching Netflix and WeTV subs. I understand over 50% of both so thats why I cringe big time.
There is an English dubbed version....that's what people are complaining about
Holy cow why bother watching it being spoken in English? Find another site. No one can watch any Netflix or WeTV subs accurately anyway as its not verbatim subs. Add on false subbed conversations? I'd be so frustrated.
I don't understand the comments about the drama being dubbed. I was watching it and I think I recognise a few actors. Its their voices. I also understood Korean.
Where are people listening to that they are complaining about dubbed voices?
No they did mean subs. They meant dubbed- as in not the actors voices.
Wow. I cannot believe I believe in love and turtle doves.
That cameo. Good lord. Those 2 actors still have unbelievable chemistry after all these years. It wanted my memory to be playing me false.
PHS has swag. I repeated the door swinging open scene several times. And if he coos over his wife one more time I'd melt into a puddle. She is so sweet and sassy.
God I LOVE those 2 and I need to rewatch that series all over again now. I am going to episode 16 and that episode where she lost her power and was strapped with explosives.
My heart is in love with them all over again. That was a good drama.
If JSY is like 30 then mum is pregnant than something is either off with his age or the writer.
That’s kinda sad that the box was originally buried 300 years ago by what's his name though. Why did the writer choose to end with that scene? I would have preferred the field scene.
We know its going to be a HAE but did they have to drag it out?
We still habe the crook Mayor and Haum to sort out. The parents to be sorted out. There is no time for lovey dovey carefree dates if we have to sort out creepy stalker.
Then the Kwon guy. And the Nayeon and Haum guy.
60 minutes to sort out 6 issues!!! I am very cross.
This was a beautiful drama with one of the best couples. Non toxic relationship. I do not regret watching and…
I read your reply below about 34 and for the life of me can't decide. However I am not a fan of open ended endings with 40 episodes. I have other dramas on my backburners and to complete so its a no from me. I swear I saw another drama where he was a Special forces and I am still traumatised with the way they killed off the 2nd ML- the tortured and killed with drug OD. O m g. That was terrible. So no open ended ending. Then the other fire fighter drama where the 2nd ML was killed/trapped underground. The directos are sadistic. And yes I work with emergency services. Too triggering for me.
Wow. I saw it was episode 40 and came to get some spoiler. I have been traumatised by too many special forces, fire fighters and police dramas where they keep killjng off the main leads or 2nd leads.
So thank you for the spoilers. Me going to chalk this up as another do not warch series.
Traumatic experienceDid you notice she's at the Hospital and hasn't washed hands, able to carry on a conversation…
She had barely any flashbacks time. The kid had personality. Aengcho knew her limits and was strong enough however the majority of the screen time belongs to the modern couple. The end couple would be in 2023. Oh my goodness, I didn't calculate a time jump.
I watched ep 25- 30 at one go and it made me laughed so much. Its so cliched that it gave me the laughter I needed from a well made serious drama where people were beheaded and tortured and more.
This is liberally the first time I've seen the FL styled so fuddy duddy with hem lines down to the ankles. My god. And the utter stupidity of the last fight scene.
Thanks for the laugh. And oh yeah I watched it quite late and yes I was shocked there was that much skinship in ep 25. But most of all after seeing multiple good dramas this was the laughter I needed. God its so bad its good.
i can never rewatch shows like these if i already know what is going to happen but i can prob rewatch certain…
I watched or rather rewatched Familiar stranger this morning because of Ryan Cheng to see what I remembered about the drama and his acting. He had traces of intensity in a really mundane and quite badly writfen drama. This show definitely gave him a more fleshed out warrior character and with an intense personality. I would rematch this drama just for GSG.
The older sister or rather that actress portrayed a hard character. She must be the comic relief with a very modern vocabulary, body action with a lot of idol dance moves. The actress is 30 years old right? She made a silly actor look dignified while being frivolous. That's hard to do.
In fact this drama's actors have been so well cast. But yeah its like watching a Cbinese version of The Chronicles of Riddick. Its all brutal and with beautifully choreographed fight scene. Stark scenery.
Spooilt but the usual pathetically written attempt of a cliffhanger. Which failed big time.
Thank goodness MDL is the site where I get spoilers. What the hell is the ending?
Oh man. Luckily its only 1 day of my life. No I do not want subliminal messages or hidden meaning behidn the ending.
I am gojng to read further to see what conclusion you all interpreted because I am one traumatised viewer.

There are people in life who react like that. And then there are people in life who can react in a crisis.
I must admit I counted. Then when I saw the heart rate of 37 and him being defibbed with the clothes on? Yeah that's when I thought " dramas! "
The writer has made the FL significantly more stupid and illogical the last few episodes. I liked her better in the beginning.
