I started ep 3 today and came to see if the female lead was supposed to be like this. Then I see the " childish female lead tag." Man that's funny. I came to ask if she was supposed to so idiotic and a ditz. Its not childish... its literally an airhead.
The 2nd piece of good news is that it has completed. That helps because I can fast forward scenes. It looks like a typical romance with a cliched cast of characters. I will ponder if I should continue it or just spare my brain cells.
Sigh. I stopped at ep 27 awaiting for it to end. I've kept up with spoilers and went to ep 40. Its so flat.
Now I am stuck deciding if I should spend the time now for ep 28-39. The only draw is the MY dying. I genuinely am lost regarding the General Cui and the Princess Royal. What happened again? I mean did he even care for her? He was this grand general and then turned into this powerless Prince Consort. He wasn't fierce at all with his daughter.
Even the ending for ZH was so uneventful. Bugger.
If I end up watching ep 28- 40 it will be for the Princess and her plots. I have now watched about 3 dramas from the actors playing the leads. I don't think I'd bother watching another. Their expressions are the same.
I was looking at the pictogram with the episode guides.
I know the dumpling will be the Lunar New Year but what does a gate and a bamboo shoot means? They really do random pictograms here. A red lantern for urgent but its only specific for this drama.
I work out my internal conflicts like this. If marrying within the family makes you uncomfortable then drop any dramas with these. No matter how good. There are quite a few dramas like this in K or Cdramas. There are certain genres or plot points which I abhor or can't be bothered with. I avoid these no matter how good it is.
However marrying within the family is fairly common. Wasn't there another recent drama about a Queen marrying another prince?
At first I was a bit skeptical about the ML. I'm so used to commanding, fierce MLs -sometimes almost theatrical-…
I was actually thinking the actor actually looks like a guy. The other actors in Cdramas actually look plastic surgery to death. He looks genuine.
Haven't you guys seen the upper eyelid surgery? The shaved jawline to the oval shape? The chin implants? I mean you can spot those with genuine noses vs the ones with implants. He even has a nice physique as in broad enough shoulders and not the skinny arms and ant- like waist. Did you guys notice his hands? He actually has nice hands. I was watching an episode in March and there was this male lead who supposedly can fight with the most smooth, least muscular forearms and a hand that looks as if they had only deluxe manicures done on them. Not even weights at the gym.
First off let me explain about putting novel into spoilers. Edit. Click on spoiler.Ergh. I am now in a bad mood…
I don't read the novel So this drama is not based on the novel. Then its fine then. But no one unless you have the script can confidently say nothing in the novel will appear in the drama. That's arrogance.
Generally when people watch a drama not everyone wants to read what happens in the future. So its a surprise. I don't want to know what happens in the novel. Or major plot spoilers. Discussions about novel issues are usually in spoilers. Otherwise there will be a wholesale novel discussion and all the novel plot points reviewed. I am here to watch the drama. Zero interest in knowing who did what and what happens there. There are 20 more episodes. I don't want to know.

Dead is dead. The living are allowed to live. The leads are not siblings. Its legal.
Don't see what the issue is. Its personal rather than immoral or illegal.

Yang Ping who bullied her and bought the report would have told her how HY lived while in Danzhou. After all he was one of those who bullied her.
Edit. Click on spoiler.
Ergh. I am now in a bad mood to read this accidentally.
Let's all check that its only episode 10 right? I don't even normally cry; but I did. The make up artist is talented. Great job.
I may have watched aghast at what I was seeing on screen. You guys know which scene it was.
MAN THIS DRAMA is tense.
Like you don't know there is a rash until the rash reappeared.
And whiplash and how time flies.
Those were the days when I didn't know it was classified as a Cdrama.
What was her role as Qing Er? I don't even know where to find this drama now.
