Its better than a romance drama and I am saying this as a romance viewer. This is a very strong school story.

Same here. Idiots. I needed to do it to counteract the rating. That age group either needs to study or go back to work. Either way they are too free.

I watched ep 9 and realised I need to marathon this. Its the sort of light romance but it will have angst and I saw the irritating female characters.

Another drama on the backburner. Its short so guess I have to wait another week? I can't see the airing schedule beyond Sunday.

However please don't come back to this drama discussion site. Not MDL but this drama. Please do not watch this if you know ahead of time. However it is common in Cdrama plots but they don't usually write such endings.

I sincerely thank everyone for the spoilers. This might be the first time I've been traumatised reading spoilers.

As someone who has encounters with veterans with severe PTSD; the ending is very traumatising. I cannot believe such an ending was acceptable.

The other thing is that my whole MDL page is now in French. I speak 6 languages and write in 3 but French is not one of them.

I repeat that's a very scary ending. Did the writer even talked to the veterans? When I read the posts about the letter my heart sank. I have PTSD from dealing with suicide attempts from those veterans. The writers were really irresponsible if they didn't actually write a positive resolutions from others before giving that to the drama audience. I might have been triggered because there was an actual suicide last month but not during my working hours. I get notifications for incidences.

I had no inkling this was going to be like this. You know how dramas whitewash stuff normally.

I will go back to ep 8 tomorrow. Who knew what 22 episodes were going to be so hard?

I got a bit impatient. Its hard slog watching the drama. Its taking like forever to get through the flashback. I am on episode 8.

Huh? I am talking about his character. Jang Won has no personality at present besides being the brother and the love for the other Princess. He hasn't even expressed any liking for Hwa Ri.

I have zero opinion about Chani. Jang Won has not even LOOKED at Hwa Ri with anything resembling awareness.,

If you want to get angry defending Chani its your prerogative. I don't have any strong bias for or against him. What I have is that the 2ML is not a viable option at present except the literal last scene. His mother is trying to get him married. I don't recall much interaction with him with anyone except the scene after school with the confessio. Him maybe with his sister. Then him with the princesses.

I actually read your original post again. My reply to that stands that I would find it distasteful if Jang Won has a sex scene with the Princess. It would be ok in a modern drama but not in line with a historical one. This doesn't sound like that sort of drama.

The other presumption is that Chani is there as a 2nd lead. Its only 4 episodes. He may be there as something else besides being a love interest. He could suddenly become passionate and do a runaway with the other Princess which would put a spanner in the works because his father and her maternal grandfather are on opposite factions. I didn't actually invest that much time in comparing who has more screen time. I am actually surprised the King and Queen have so many scenes together as a couple.

So I am not banging on a 2ML love triangle. I am just saying Jang Won is not doing much.

Wait. I said chemistry. I never promised bed scenes.

The chemistry gets stronger. If pheromones can be transmitted off- screen and across continents they are it. The other couples in the dramas have got good chemistry too by the way.

None of us watching this drama went to Seoul around this time? All the locations are where the tourists go. And so many people have seen to COEX Aquarium as well and the Kpop trail.

I checked; filming started early March 2024. So that also answers the time skip from kindergarden to elementary school.

Great drama. It told its story. Solid acting all round. I am now happy to recommend this romance drama because it is not frustrating and has a well fleshed out supporting cast story.

However as a romance drama, this drama really delivers. And I'm really happy Lee Jun Hyuk is the lead.

If he was a female he would be too perfect.

Great at his job, has incredible EQ, works late yet does perfect meals and looks after the child.

I don't know how you can be perfect yet be pasisonate. We are such hard fans to please. Honestly.

However as male leads go he is super swoony. Not exciting. But perfect. I now realise I don't really love perfect heros. Does he have any flaws?

Its all about the writing, perspective and good directing. I think you will disappointed. I am fine with this drama because it addresses social and relationship issues rather than big palace intrigues.

Why would you want the FL sleeping with 2 guys in a historical drama?
