Well, as long as what I learn from other C-drama, it's a customary in ancient China to mourn when person looses family, and sometimes it can be three years, This time, it was her grandpa, and also she was married to someone who hated her, so I'd say it was safe for her to stay away from it as long as possible, I'd asked the same if I were her, maybe longer since I don't know what kind of husband he is 😆 It was a obvious excuse for Manman to observe who he is. Too bad some viewers feel 'suffering and dragging', but it was a realistic slow burn romance to me and I am really enjoying it though.

Ep 29 the epic kiss scene! I wish I can rate 20 instead of 10 in the each episode rating section for ep 29 🔥 That was like K-drama 💋 kiss scene that we hardly see in C-dramas!!! Thank you Director, Thank you Yuning大哥❕

Peter Ho (Mr. Zhenshi) is a former heartthrob in singing industry and he became pretty famous in other asian countries. Speaks fluent in ENG and he will be 50 this year. What a great guest star in this drama and he played such a perfect roll! Comedy elements in each episodes bring such a joy!

I finally started to read the original novel. Oh boy, it has total 171 chapters and it must have been very very hard to squeeze into only 36 episode. Raise the glasses to director and screen writer of this drama!

I am glad that this drama is built around romance, so the political intrigue doesn't drag on and on, and it's nice that it comes to a conclusion quickly and without a lot of bloodshed. After a short plotting scene, you can quickly focus back to romance right away! The script is written in such a way that you can guess most of the backstory of the political intrigue, so there is no need to pry into the details. There is no need for such complicated explanations in this romance.

Either way, there are so many other great dramas that are focussed on political scripts as the center of the story, so I am enjoying this romance focused drama with lots of heart throbbing moments ! I am sure there are lots of you who are like me and truly enjoying this drama !!

Ep 21, the scene where WS and Manman sat and embraced each other was amazingly shot with WS's face in close-up but I could only see his lips and adam's apple as if the viewer is looking at WS's face just like Manman did. LYN's adam's apple/neck area were super sexy! This director's details are amazing as usual. And WS's jealousy was super funny!
