Ep27, the current Emperor is a real fool ruler. No wonder Yu Cheng'an controlled him all these time. If what Yu Cheng'an told Princess D is true, it means Emperor is truly the villain personality. Or is he testing the entire crews who saved him from Yu Cheng'an for their loyalty ? Nauuhhh, I don't think so. Emperor is no wise ruler at all. I hope karma will get him 😡

Ep24&25 were the best plots and they executed the important part of this story so well.

I don't think this account watched the drama at all. You are correct, there is no r@pe between main leads. He was patiently waiting her to open up herself to love him and he never forced her. And look what kind of words this account use in comments. And the actual Republic era history is much darker than this drama.

I am rewatching his 'Footprints of change ' right now. Same era, but good ending. I need to recover from this heartbroken.... up to ep 11 is his arc.

I’m confused too. In the book she was 18 and he was 24 around 1920s. 17 yers of their time story??? In the book it didn’t state exact year so I assumed late 1920. Then I would be okay, just a matter of 10 yers instead of 17 yers …if the story started in 1927.

I agree. I read so many novel readers said story was totally changed and I was hoping for better ending than novel but I was wrong. I researched the original and it’s 10 times worse than the drama. Director soften the whole story and it was easy to watch in the beginning and crossed my fingers for better ending. I was wrong..,,Republican era dramas are always like this. No more for me.

Finished. This drama tells me the heavy cost of 'war' and main character's relationship represents the story of republican era. Very dark and hard to watch story. My fav. CL did experienced the emotional turmoil through this drama, but I won't be watching another drama of the era ever again. I had enough heartbroken moments and traumas through similar dramas in the past. This is my last 😭

I love Zhan zhao adventures ! Great wuxia ! I think it was YangYang's best costume drama. BTW 💋 in ep 3 wasn't real kind though 😂 I didn't get hardly any butterflies.

I noticed many MDL viewers like heavy romance, like touching, kissing and they tend to score low when slow burn romance 😂

Glad you posted this. I didn't read novel, but my guess was right. It takes time her to heel from such traumatic experiences. Li Yunrui's character including his real personality suites YS character! They are like sun and moon !
