Ep27, I must thank to director/screenwriter for making this drama such a great story about court business during ancient China! Most likely the original novel writer did great job making this story so good. And I am so glad how Emperor is portrayed in this drama. So many people were wrong about him 😆 I just hope it stays the way he is until the end ! Bcoz anything can be changed in one day, There are so many great episodes but Ep26&27 were two of my favorites !

Ok thx, I am about to watch ep27. Mo and Wang are trusted aids for Emperor from the early episode before he became the emperor, but Mr. Mo got punishment !!! And ZL is the only one who isn't affected by policy so I believe he is good for the sake of Emperor and I hope he knows it. Ep26..... please someone tell me how ML/FL will survive the harsh palace business without backers!!! They have no one! Emperor was easily affected by his Gdandma who was manipulated by Yu !!! Some said Emperor only uses ML as pawn for his benefits. Is Emperor that bad 😭 ? I thought he was a real good Emperor who sees people's true mind......
It was after he had to kill his close friend due to Emoeror's order, then he was under crisis of separating from FL. He was under mourning so he had beard (I guess he cannot shave during mourning ). Everyone was debating who was the friend and etc. That's what it was written.
Aaagggrrr 😭 😭 😭 I must warn you. X has tons of spoilers! The video someone took at the filming location, bcoz it was blurry and far video, shows future events and author wrote what would happened. Very disturbing content. I wish I didn't see or read it. So warning to anyone don't want spoilers, don't go there, Why studio allow such video to leak out...... 😭
This drama will be one of my favorite by DYX. Btw, the reason why they do not getting married right away was explained by ZL in the recent episode. Fu Tingyun is a disgraced noblewoman wrongfully accused of an illicit affair. Marrying early on under a cloud of scandal and court conspiracies would put both of them—and her family's remaining honor—at continuous risk. And Zhao Ling starts out as an underground salt dealer. To stand beside a noble heiress securely and protect her against powerful adversaries, he has to "level up", enter the military/court, and gain real political standing. That's why he accepted Emperor's order to clean up salt market within a year.

I agree with you. She seems to be very smart lady and she shows respects to FL. I think she wants to be like FL, but that madam only wants to use her as tool thru marriage. I wish she will be a good parter of FL in the future !
I checked the 'salt reform' during the Ming dynasty and it was very much monopolized, so this emperor trying to change the rules. Zhao Ling did help the reform in the drama. Therefore, there isn't specific histrionical person who portrays ZL (there was Ye Qi name came out in my research ), but the story lines seems to follow the historical events. Does anyone know who was the actual Emperor around the mid-Ming dynasty in this drama? There were couple names came up and I wasn't sure which one. Anyway, I love this type of drama very much. It is like 'Love Like The Galaxy' which are based on Emperor Guangwu (劉秀).

I love this drama so much, so I started to watch same main leads 'Melody of golden age'. FL looks so young like teenager compared to this drama. In this drama, she looks and performs way more mature than her age. I like her a lot! And I think this is DYX's best costume drama!
OH Noooooo my Dong Zifan! Your character in ‘Blossoms of Power’ was so good, but your character here sucks ! We all hate Scholar Yu !!! That being said you play Yu so well. I just want to slap you so hard !
I am loving this drama very much. I watched many variety shows and interviews of DYX and I truly believe he is a genuinely kind hearted person. I see his personality over wraps in this drama character! I also like FL. She is only 21 yrs old, but her acting is stable and they have a great chemistry!
