ML once said he wants 'passionate love' to FL in early episode. Novel reader, pls spoil me, did FL passionately love as much as ML loved her in the book? As of ep 21, FL in this drama won't become as passionate as ML from the story lines, I think. I know I know. it's too early to tell, but just like the drama 'against the current', ML loved FL more than FL loved ML. That's possible, right? Especially the personality can tells you, too. I am just curious if ML will be satisfied with less passionate love from FL?

Almost half done. ML's obsession of love towards FL were bit too much in the beginning but he changed to be a lot better man after the battlefield experiences. I mean he was a better general compared to his dad. Please please make this drama to be a happy ending, please 🙏 😢 ML is trying so hard to be a better man for her. Pls don't waste my time ... I invested so much time and emotion to this drama. Please no heartbreaking end, please........🙏

I know the ending of novel, bcoz I did the research before watching and it is a traumatic ending and it may scare you for a long time. Especially FL must go through so much ordeals. However, I couldn't delay anymore. I started to watch 5days ago and I caught up. It's really good drama. I just cannot watch battlefield scenes, coz so realistic. I fast forwarded most of it. I am still worrying about ending since the ENG title isn't good meaning. I'm hoping they will change the ending !

I checked and it looks like the drama plot of biological father isn't in novel at all. Totally the drama plot.

Oh yeah. I had few traumatized dramas /movies I watched so I wasn't going to watch this one, but it's Cheng Lei, I couldn't miss it. Glad I started. Bcoz of ENG title, I will be traumatized again for sure, but no regret.

Totally agree! Some wrote here that he shouldn't have taken this dark roll. I disagree! I am glad he took this roll and he now expands his acting ability wider!

BTW, I am up to Ep 12. I probably wouldn't have watched this drama if political stories are the core story but so far the romance of main leads is the majority of each episodes, and the character Re Borun makes me laugh 😂 He is an oasis of this drama!

I read so many reviews about novel ending and hesitant to watch this era stories since I did have traumatic heartbreaking, but I finally started two days ago. I cannot stop! I realized, I don't remember many happy ending stories but tragic story stays in me for a long time. I can name of Oscar awarded movie which had bad ending or tragic stories quite a lot !

Cheng Lei took such a complicated character as YCX, who is struggling inside with relationship with cold hearted father, death of older brothers, power games, duties of army control, making strategic political plans, facing daily life and death (such as assassination attempt), yet he also wants love and peace. He is nothing but full of himself due to how he was raised and being treated like nothing by his father. Emotional scars are enormous for sure. I am glad he took this male lead character and his experiences as actor will expand. He will experience more emotional being through this drama that normal people don't usually experience. As his big fan, as long as he is not the super evil villain, I support his choice of this character ! Go Leilei !

I am not fond of this era stories, and I don't like any sad stories, yet I love many of casts in this drama. I simply couldn't delay any longer, so I finally started to watch it. I am so glad I did. I love love Cheng Lei and I love the supporting casts. I only watched few dramas by Xu Ruohan, I like her too. The story is so far not too depressing, I know the drama nuances will change in the future, but it's really really good. Main leads chemistry is out of world !!!!

Oh, I haven't watched the drama yet, he used his real voice? That's exciting. He does have such a low sexy voice, but he always use voice actor except few dramas. I am excited to know , THX
