So I have been patiently waiting for legit English subs to come out. They finally have and for some reason I can't get into this drama. I really want to and I know I will finish it at some point, but right now I am stuck at episode 3. I really like Dilraba (have seen almost everything she has been in) and I like Allen Ren as well. I don't know why I am struggling to watch this one.
I feel for Xia Jie . Seriously, I wanted to slap that Ms. Wu. What a freaking bi***!! How dare she want an apology, because Xia Jie was following procedure. I understand she was upset, I get it, I have kids too. But she was being so uncooperative, if they want to find her daughter they needed to follow the procedures. And then she had the audacity to ask for an apology after she had slapped Xia Jie. It may have been an accident, but that still is no right for her to act that way. I don't care who she is. Now the chief and everyone wants Xia Jie to apologize, they should be backing Xia Jie.
I don't get it. You follow procedure and your wrong, you don't follow procedure and your wrong. They are setting mixed precedents here. I mean is this gonna give every citizen the right to demand an apology if the police are just doing their job, even if the citizen is the one in the wrong.
They are so contradictory here. It is okay in Li Diawei's situation for them to say "Your dad is your dad, and you are you", but in Xia Jie's situation, they say she is like this because of who her dad and thinks she using her dad as a way to act the way she is. No you freaking idiots, she is in the right and for them not to stick up for her (them as in the other police, not her other 3 cadets) Freaking stupid. I hate double standards.
I am just glad she finally stuck up for herself and sort of told her master off. It needed to be done. She was tired of being treated like she needed to be protected all the time.
I really liked this drama the first time I watched it. I am actually watching it for the second time now. I am seeing a lot of what the other commenters are saying. A lot of things I really didn't see at first. There is a bit of chemistry in the MLs, but not enough where you want to root for them or where you get those butterflies when they kiss, etc. The biggest complaint is the second leads. I can not stand their relationship, just the whole thing about them. That is probably the biggest problem with this drama is that 50% of it focuses on them and I could care less about their problems or any of that. Actually I really didn't like the 2FL. All her parts were just horrible imo. The drama overall, is ok, but not great. The story was cute and good. I just wish the execution was better and it stayed focused more on the main couple and the reason why they were doing the reality show.
I am a bit frustrated. I know American laws and Chinese laws differ greatly. As in America we are not entitled to take care of the elderly or even relatives. It is something we do of our own accord or not. I see this in a lot of Asian dramas (modern especially), that it seems like they always put the burden of debt on relatives or blame, etc. on the younger generation. I understand they teach the younger generation to respect the elders, which I think is admirable. But sometimes, I think it goes to far. Case in point, these last couple of cases.
Liu vs Sun family. It was clearly the Suns doing all the instigating, first with the dog and then the family basically terrorized the Liu family and their poor kid. The Suns are clearly in the wrong, etc. I don't get why they would even want them to "settle". I know there wasn't "proof", but there was where the dog was concerned, that elderly man was clearly at fault and he was definitely using the system. I also understand wanting the whole "peace", but if it was my child, I would be furious. Maybe it is the difference in me growing up in America vs growing up in that area of China. We all have different mindsets. But still, I was supporting Yang Shu when he told them to litigate. I was pissed at his mentor as well. I am not liking him very much at all.
Now the second case, I feel so bad for the son of that abuser. I get it, he is dying. But what he did to his wife in front of his son and his son's child. Not only that, he purposefully caused problems on the bus his son drove. I hope he wasn't going to donate his liver to his dad. (I don't know if he agreed or not, I missed it if he decided) To me that man deserves what he got. I am sorry if that offends but for real though. He brought the liver disease upon himself. Also, for them to "harass" his son and make his son feel responsible for his "father", after he cut ties with him and his mother got a divorce, is aggravating, especially after all the mother went through because of the father.
I like the real cases and the episodes, but sometimes I see just how different we approach things/situations. I also am waiting for Bai Lu's character to just go off on her "master". I mean come on quit protecting her and allow her to spread her wings. I am glad her mother decided to leave and give her a bit of space.
I have to say ZRY's character is the best. Even from the home environment he came from, I just love his mother though. He always says he doesn't have the best grades or wasn't able to attend a certain school. He always comes out smiling and always has the most insightful things to say. To me he is the smartest of them all.
Wow.. you shoukd watch Zhang Ruo yun's joy of life and Sword Snow Stride.. he's really a great actor
Sword Snow Stride is what got me to become a fan of his. I absolutely fell in love with him in that one. I had started Joy of Life, but couldn't get into it, but after watching SSS, I finally finished JoL. I liked SSS a lot more than JoL, but it was good. I also went back and watched a couple of his older ones. Dr Qin was good and I liked Novoland: Castle in the Sky. I haven't watched many more, but when I get some time I will try and watch a few more of his older ones.
Same here. Wuxia, Xianxia and mystery/thriller genres are more my thing but started this drama bc of ZRY and BL,…
XKC is a really great actor. I really like him and ZLS, but A Female Student.... wasn't their best work, imo. It was cute, but not great. XKC was really good in Novoland: Pearl Eclipse. Although, my favorite of his is Dance of the Phoenix. I really like that one. A couple of others that are good are I'm a Pet at the Dali Temple and Well-Intended Love (I preferred the 1st season).
I have watched 7 episodes so far. I was going to wait til it finished, cause I like to binge watch dramas, but I love Bai Lu, Xu Kai Cheng, and recently became a fan of Zhang Ruo Yun. After watching the first couple of episodes I almost dropped it, because I didn't feel I could get into it, but I stuck with it and so glad I did. This isn't usually the type of drama I watch, but I have been branching out lately and I am absolutely loving this one. The acting, the stories, everything has been so good. I am looking forward to the future episodes.
There are not too many ppl rating this drama at this point. If haters decide to drop low scores, it can affect…
I am really liking him a lot. I actually really watched him in Sword Snow Stride and absolutely fell in love with him in that. I had tried watching JoL but couldn't get into it, finally finished it though after watching SSS. Since then I have been trying to watch a lot of his older dramas. I really liked Dr. Qin as well.
I just finished this for the first time. This is a very cute and sweet drama. I absolutely loved it. I thought I wouldn't be able to get into it, but it was so good and only got better.
Hi~ I actually don't like watching Avenue X much because she can be bias and likes to nail actors she did not…
I don't like her either. I really tried to watch her commentary on a couple of different series. I feel as a commentator you should be more un biased I guess I would say. One of the reasons, I like watching Marcus so much. I felt a lot of dislike toward certain dramas and actors while watching Avenue X which I felt was uncalled for. So I no longer watch her.
Hahaha i just finished and i should be in bed for work. But i'm here wondering how to move on from it, i have…
I couldn't watch it because of the FL. I watched the first episode and I was done. I love Xukai, Leon Lai and most of the other actors in it as well, but I couldn't get past the female lead and I have tried several times.
I know I read spoiler here about Han Pu... but dang!!!... idk why i still wasn't prepared for it, i had to pause…
I cried a lot too. I also cried even more because of Zhao Lusi's acting in that scene. She made it so heartbreaking that I couldn't help but to bawl along with her.
Kinda surprised with the stats how this drama did better than TLB, ALP and Novoland (YM's) in china (based on…
I truly believe the acting is what made this so successful and honestly if it had been any other cast, I don't think it would have turned out near as well.
guys i just need to ask if its worth it so i can start now please without any prejudice at all to any actors
Overall it is a really good drama and my personal reason is because of the acting. Honestly, I don't think any other cast would have been able to pull this off.
I'm glad you liked it! Definitely give Go Ahead a try! It's that drama that really solidified me as her fan.
I know they are still filming Road Home, so it won't be out for quite some time. I might check it out, it isn't something I normally would watch. Kind of like The Oath of Love, I started watching it, but it just got boring for me. So I dropped it, well actually watched about 3 episodes then fast forwarded to the last episode, same with Hello, the Sharpshooter. I wanted to like them, but their stories were dragging to much.
I'm glad you liked it! Definitely give Go Ahead a try! It's that drama that really solidified me as her fan.
Yeah The Fox's Summer was hard to watch, but I loved her in it and just over looked the ML a lot. But so far for me Face Off is probably my favorite modern drama of hers. I tried watching Go Ahead, but I couldn't get into it. There are few I still haven't watched yet.
I'm glad you liked it! Definitely give Go Ahead a try! It's that drama that really solidified me as her fan.
Loved "Under the Power" and "the Sword and the Brocade". I actually prefer Seven Tan in costume dramas. I did like her in Face off (it was really good), My Mr. Mermaid, and The Fox's Summer (I didn't really care for the ML in that one, but she was really good). I am looking forward to Flight to You, though.
I just started watching this drama. Have never even really heard of it or its other counterparts. I am on episode 7 right now and as of right now I like the chemistry between the 2ML and FL more than the ML and FL. The ML is acting like a self centered narcissistic brat. Honestly, I would have done a lot worse to the FL's best friend than punching her in the face in the boxing ring. She isn't a best friend, she is manipulative user bi***. The fact that the FL still considers her a friend disgusts me more than anything else about this drama so far.
