My recap of episode 38:

-Han Pu the youngest and bravest of them all. My favorite character.

-Finally Lanxi and XY are putting the pieces together concerning YWY.

-I have to say, that Bloody Phoenix Formation is a pretty good war strategy.

-There goes Lanxi paving the way for his woman to get to the King of Youzhou, in the meantime, I think the king is going a bit crazy.

-HC is manipulating HCR and all she cares about is becoming Empress and Youzhou

-That choregraphed fight between HC and XY looked really bad. There have been quite a few one on one fights in this drama, but that just did not look good at all. It seemed a little lazy. I don't know if it was the editing or the wiring. It just looked bad imo.

-There goes YWY up to his background dirty plays again.

-I love how loyal and supportive XY's generals and army are for her.

-OMG, the stupid princess is back. LOL and HC made her YWY's protector. He didn't want her on the battlefield, but where was she when YWY was on the battlefield?

-XY is one powerful Queen to be fighting all day and night to hold onto her position and waiting for Lanxi to come to her rescue.

My recap of episode 37:

lol I still don't understand all the terms and process, but I am certainly enjoying watching the investment side of the show.

I hope all these companies, that are LJM tried to help out and are refusing to help him now, get what is coming to them.

the beginning of episode 29 with NM's parents is one of the best part of the series. I just love them. "do you know how to gut a fish?" lol

12 mins into episode 28 and I am loving NM's boss. She gives great advice and is really good at reading signs of situations.

OMG yes! I have seen so many shows of all kinds of things happening to the stunt horses or even other animals, but this is honestly the first time I have seen such an uproar about that stunt horse. It is so crazy.

That scene was really emotional and Zhao LuSi did an amazing job acting it. So heartwrenching.

I think he basically is putting it together at the end of episode 36.

honestly this has about 10% wuxia in it, imo. This is more political and the wars are all about who is going to take over the "world" or rather empire. There are several other dramas that really have so much more wuxia and are just as good if not better.

I felt more robbed when she found out about HFX being Prince Lanxi then this one. Because through all the episodes they were toying with us about whether he really knew or not. So for her to ask him "you knew?" actually didn't surprise me. I am more interested in to see others' around Lanxi's reaction to the news. (particularly his master, although they sent him away)

I haven't read the novel, but I agree with you.

-First off, I have to give a huge shout out to Zhao LuSi's performance in the death of her brother and father and then again when she puts on the Queen persona. She did an outstanding job. It was all emotionally moving and well acted. You can feel her regality and authoritativeness when she takes over the Queen role.

-That was a pretty quick wipeout of the Youzhou's forces with that special diagram Qingzhou's forces use. And of course, YWY would know how to crack it. Is there anything that jerk doesn't know.

-Interesting that HC and YWY aren't telling the King of Youzhou that XY is also BFX. He constantly underestimates her.

-I am curious to know how much HC knows about YWY's secret agenda or if he knows at all. He seems to know quite a bit, but there are still other things YWY is doing that HC isn't privy to.

-I love how everyone knows about Youzhou's "secret" artillery.

-I guess YWY and HC already know that HFX has his inner force back now.

-Still not over the fact that everything is ok between BFX and Langhua. Excited to see Pu back with them. It also seems that they are finally piecing together how evil YWY is truly.

Episode 36 my recap:

-weird to see the king of Yongzhou basically doing a 180 on his attitude to Lanxi. I guess Prince Ju's little speech woke him up. It seems like Prince Ju went a little mental.

-Loving the part where Lanxi introduced Xiyun to his mother and then basically asked her to marry him

-We see Lanxi overhear the conversation of Xiyun with one of Qingzhou's men and then they cut to him supporting her and telling her he will follow her to Qingzhou and telling her he basically already knew who she was.

-I am so glad she got to meet with her father before he passed.

-HC and HCR make me so uncomfortable when they are together. I really don't like HCR, she seems like a background character in this whole war prep scene. They have no chemistry and you wouldn't even know they were actually married. But we do learn HC and YWY have their own agenda, besides defeating Qingzhou, HC also wants to take control of Yonzhou.

-Lanxi and XY's father's talk was so endearing. Both father and brother care very deeply for XY.

-The killing of XY's brother was just dirty. I really hope YWY gets what coming to him in the end. I hope HC even turns on him.

-I think the biggest thing that I was a bit aggravated was we never saw Lanxi, when XY was working on the government affairs, or when they brought her dead brother back. He also wasn't there when her father passed. I mean where was he to comfort her. I know he did later in the tower, but was a bit confused by his absence in some of those scenes.

Episode 35 my recap:

I believe it is in episode 5 if I remember correctly.

I agree. To much time making sure the best friend is ok and the closing of Joint Capital. I hope there is more coming, because ever since the 2FL has joined and then left, it seems like the whole drama has slowed down for me. I don't know I guess I was expecting more drama and I am getting slow somewhat drama.

The Story of Ming Lan (Zhao Li Ying) Historical, Romance (very smart female lead, no real fighting except a few wars, she uses her smarts to out maneuver people)
Under the Power (Seven Tan) Mystery, Romance, Historical, Wuxia


I am sure there are several that are good strong female driven and lead, but these are some of the ones I like, even the bad ending ones are really good dramas.
