Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
Depends how you view it but I see it has a happy ending.
Finish it you'll like the ending it isn't sad. And in a way it leaves it open for your own interpretation. I want to thank that he gets those missing years back when the flower blooms again(as some have said happens in the novel) and they live forever and happy traveling the martial arts world.

I was so worried they were going to have her by herself at the end. I am so glad they didn't do that as well.

I just have to say I am going to miss these comments. This has been my favorite comment section ever and I have never participated so much. I love that people were able to comment their opinions and views and there was not very much back lash. A lot of respect with the comments. Nice to see a good drama bring great people together.

I would say bittersweet. They ended with them being together but he only has 10 more years of life. He gave up much of his life force to keep her alive. At the end you see them in a cottage in the mountains together making food and doing each other's eyebrows. Sweet moments.

You are on point about Zhao Lusi's acting chops. It's unfortunate that the background drama affected the series.…
I love my share of political dramas. There are some good ones out there. The problem I had with this part of the political is for one they focused to much on one state. Another, in that one state they kept going after the same person over and over and over. I mean how many times and things can you do to one person and realize nothing is going to work and the person in charge is doing nothing about it.

What do you mean by off screen drama? Did sth happen? I could sense a weird shift in the story's flow between…
First of all the producer came out before the drama even aired and said that drama will probably not live up to everyone's expectations. She didn't promote the drama and it seemed like she condemned before it aired.

Second the producer brought her personal issues "to work". She and the director were having a relationship. Supposedly both were suppose to leave their spouses, only she did and he didn't. The director had an affair with a cast member (the maid who's face we never see).

The above cause issues and the director left midway into filming along with the script/screen writer. So they filmed a lot of scenes with a stunt director and 3 unknown scriptwriters.

That is why there is so many missing scenes and it shows. The producer was a bit to over petty and cut out all visuals of the maid and she pieced together/edited the final version we saw. She also did something with the original directors name in the credits.

Although, the drama overall was acted very well, and it is pretty good for the most part, you can tell that there were bad decisions made as it progressed.

There are some tags on this drama that totally misled me. Romance. Comedy. Ive just completed episode 31. No romance…
I don't think they should have had main tags as Comedy at least. I mean there were a few comical moments, but not enough to carry the tag. There is romance, but it is not in your face romance as we romantic drama lovers like. I do have to say I actually loved the business aspect of it. I don't usually get into that a lot but this one was really intriguing and watching the FL's growth was done really well.

Final Thoughts: (my recaps are in the comments below)

-The acting was superb, by every cast member. I think we clearly saw how well Zhao Lusi can hold a drama, because as much as I love Leon Lai and like Yang Yang, Zhao Lusi stole this drama. Her acting in every scene she was in, was beautiful and sincere and just so Zhao Lusi. They all did really well with the script they were given, imo.

-It truly was sad that the background drama behind WRTW ruined the production. I honestly believe this could have been so much better if it wasn't for so many changes to the story (novel, from what I have heard, I haven't actually read it myself). If it wasn't for all the off screen drama that clearly made it on screen then this would be my favorite drama of the year.

-The choreography was done really well for the most part, toward the ending they got a little wonky.

-For labeling as Wuxia it was rather lacking in that department and had more political side to it. The balance was off.

-I will most likely rewatch it, but will wait for awhile. Looking forward to Love Like the Galaxy now.

My recap of episode 40:
-NO NOT PU!!!! I'm in tears. Literally crying right now. WHY?!? They could have killed anyone else, but why him. This death hit me harder than anyone else.

-BFX showing her bada** again by blowing up all those cannons in one go.

-YWY cruel as ever using the citizens as a shield against HC's army

-You could see and feel Lanxi's pain as he was holding XY in the carriage. (I actually felt Yang Yang's acting here more so than when he was mourning the death of Pu)

-I don't like the white hair look on Yang Yang. It just doesn't look right. The only person for me to be able to carry off the white hair look has been Gao Wei Guang as Dong Hua in TMoPB.

-Why didn't they actually show them breaching the city, when YWY was using citizens as shields, how did they get past that?

-And now for the final confrontation: YWY killed HC's sister. I don't understand how he can even be a match for all 3 of them together.

-The CGI, wiring, and fighting was once again a mess when they were 2 on 1 fighting in the air. It seemed once again lazily done. Not any semblance of how the fights were done previously.

-I am glad to see HC as the emperor. Wonder what ended up happening to all the 6 states?

-There she goes again with her quirkiness, "I Bai Fengxi am kidnapping the Lord of Yongzhou to be my husband." Lol They are truly so cute together til the end.

End scene of the black and white birds flying in the air.

My recap of episode 39:
-YWY stole the secrets from all these families to use on his secret army. To bad the General didn't realize he did it for the benefit of the emperor, but for himself.

-Stupid princess listening in and then got caught

-dragged a bit with the whole who's army is where, 10,000 men here and 30,000 men there, etc. etc. I just want to see the fighting.

-After watching all these battles, I want to give it up to the flag guy. To pass orders through the waving of flags is quite interesting, something I really haven't seen in other war dramas. Wonder how much studying they had to do to learn those commands and pass them a long. Shoutout to the flag guy!

-There is Lanxi off to save his woman again. Nice truce with HC as well.

-YWY is truly evil. Poor, unsuspecting, ignorant emperor. You should have listened to your general when you had the chance.

-BFX is so smart, figuring out the enemies' tactics.

-I really wish they had focused more on BFX and her unwavering bravery in the series. She is so authoritative and looks down right bada** in the middle of a battle. But why isn't she using more of martial arts skills, and where is her ribbon technique? (ok there it is, as soon as I wrote this down she used it.)

lol, I feel like I might be in the minority here, but that duel scene between Xiyun and HC looked so bad. Ugh,…
No I totally agree. I even commented it about it in my recap. I was so surprised at how bad it looked after watching all these other fight scenes and how well they were done.

She’s the only one in their world that scares the daylights out of YWY lol. As soon as she appears, like a groundhog…
that is probably my biggest complaint about TLB. I hated that. I only stayed watching for the actors. the story was pretty good, but the stupid cartoon scenes drove me nuts

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
My recap of episode 38:
-Go get them Lanxi. Seeing him chase after HC and YWY after saying "they hurt my woman" awesome scene. Then YWY uses the sacred jade moon to stop Lanxi and now they figure out who was behind hurting Qiwu and killing of BFX's master. I just wish HC would wake up and figure out YWY's true goal and how scheming he really is.

-They are so cute with their playful banter when he was talking about marrying her.

-I am shocked that the king of Yongzhou is renouncing his throne for Lanxi when he marries XY. Although, he is kind of doing it to save Yongzhou's face.

-Advance 1 year

-Loved that Qiwu was the emissary to propose the marriage to Qingzhou. I only wished they had showed more BFX and Qiwu time, though. BFX was all excited, but Qiwu was secretly "calm down" LOL

-And how cute/funny was it that she turned to her advisor/eunich and said "didn't i tell you to spread the stories and create novels/books", she was trying to boost Lanxi's image so her advisors wouldn't disagree with her decision marry him.

-Prince Chang "Stop spacing out, Go!" and after they were alone first thing he does is feed her.

-The moment we have all been waiting for "The Wedding" and the wedding night of course, it gave me chills, that scene was so great

-I think part of the reason YWY disappeared was to make the artillary weapons and we later find out he is also advising the emperor.

-Yeah Han Pu is now a general. An awful young general but he is one.

-HC seems like he would be a good leader, to bad he is in league with YWY. Although, he doesn't know everything YWY is doing behind the scenes or how evil YWY is really.

-I don't know if the emperor is truly a dimwit or he is pretending. He is not governing at all and relying to much on YWY's advice. His general is the only true smart one and I wish he would listen to him. I have gotten to the point where I hate seeing YWY on screen, knowing what his true agenda is.

Sad that there are only 2 episodes left. Hopefully they do well in wrapping up all the lingering plots.
