I actually stopped the moment BFX got stabbed to come here to vent. I thought she got in some super fight with…
Episode 34 basically shook the whole foundation of this drama. I mean I know there were several other duh or wth plot moments, but this one took the icing on the cake.
lol I did! horrible storyline right there. I mean seriously.
I agree. I think overall this had so much potential to be amazing, if not for the behind the scenes drama. Honestly, I have been thinking all along if it wasn't for the cast in this drama, I probably would not still be watching it. The amazing acting, the awesome cast list is what is keeping me glued to this drama.

OMG I was thinking the same thing. Actually I thought she would have been in the room when YWY was going after her master and she got hurt protecting him, that was my scenario, but how they did it had to be one of the worst writing ever.
The drama was going sooooooo good till the last 4 eps like why tf didn't BFX master tell HFX about the jade token…
Yeah I don't understand why wouldn't Master Bai talk to HFX about everything he found out in prison (because at the time BFX and HFX got there, YWY hadn't arrived yet). Master Bai has already told HFX all his thoughts about the tokens, you would think he would talk to him first about the jade token, and maybe he would still be alive. That would be more appropriate story, but I guess we had to have him die, so his stupid daughter would stab BFX so HFX would then get his inner power back.
I have to say they are making it noticeable that the 2FL and the ML really don't have anything in common anymore. She asked him to go to an art exhibit and he didn't seem interested. She wanted to help him get his ear bud out of the console, but he did it himself, whereas, when FL was in the car, she automatically got it for him and he didn't say anything to her or try to get it himself.
-Was Master Bai not suspicious of YWY? He basically told him all his thoughts, etc. I feel like if he was suspicious he wouldn't have told him so much. He basically signed his death warrant right there.
-ok WTF?!! Seriously, the whole death of Master Bai scene and stabbing of BFX, imo, was poorly written. I honestly believe there is no way, his daughter, Langhua would ever suspect BFX to be her father's killer. I understand she is grieving and upset, but seriously. After all, BFX and HFX even, have done for them while they were in Yongzhou. I mean come one. Is she that stupid and naive, not to even listen to BFX or let BFX see her father's corpse. **thank you Pu for helping figure out the cause of death** Also, I did like how BFX told HFX to not hurt the sect.
-The scene with BFX in HFX's arms "dying" is probably one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have seen in a very very long time. I seriously would probably be bawling my eyes out, if I had not have seen the trailers or knew she wouldn't die. So emotional and you can see the quality of acting right there. Beautifully done!
-So now we know how he got his inner force back. Oh and can't have a costume drama without the I will put the medicine in my mouth, to administer it to you buy kissing you scene.
-I knew his mother was killed, but now we get an idea of how. I am wondering the who now. I wonder if it was YWY as well, but if not, then someone from the Imperial Palace?
-I so hope BFX/XY gets to see her father before he dies.
-HC and HCR have absolutely zero chemistry, if it wasn't for Leon Lai being in that scene I would probably have skipped it. So glad that theirs was only a strategic marriage. I find HCR's character a bit annoying.
-Finally the drawing, she must have done that way before they actually started traveling together, because her drawing of HFX at HCR's palace was completely different. So funny, I love those moments in the series.
Looking forward to tomorrow's episodes, looking to be some action over the next few episodes.
-Prince Chang's legs? All the sudden out of no where he can walk. They were so adamant about him being crippled possibly that he was out of the running for succession and now he just up and walks and helps Lanxi at that. I thought he was trying to stay away from him for fear of retribution from Queen Baili or her making Prince Chang do things he didn't want to.
-I would love to see the behind the scenes of that Go game. The way the camera focused so much on their faces, they had to have some moments. Besides I got close ups of HC which I liked.
-The confession scene under the tree, absolutely beautiful, so touching and no interruptions. (I was kind of expecting the falcon to come interrupt them, lol)
-Favorite quote of the episode: "I'll make sure she's well fed."
-and OMG the king again, seriously, he wants to "pretend" he never had a son like him and Lanxi can't return to Yongzhou. and thanks to the teasers we know the king didn't die from Prince Ju's invasion in episode 34, because we see the king at the wedding in episode 38
-one last thing about this episode... the look on Queen Baili's face when the King said you got what you wanted, all I am thinking is don't get to excited yet Queen Baili.
Reading the comments below, it does feel like everyone (including me) is whipped for that ponytail. Lol.The last…
I prefer when he has the long hair down, like when he was in the sick bed, after the near drowning or the episode 28 when his father had the guards strike him. But either way, yes he looks great in ancient costume.
The story is still somewhat good, but all this focus on the artist (2FL) is boring. For some reason her character is really dull to me. I don't see any strife or angst coming from any characters, like backstabbing or deceit, etc, it all seems pretty calm. I honestly prefer the investment side or when the FL and ML are in scenes together. But overall, right now the story and drama has slowed way down. I do hope it picks back up. I did like the scene where they were in the meeting and were all laughing at his socks.
Just started watching this yesterday for the first time. It was recommended from another thread. Anyway currently on episode 5 and I don't usually like these type of dramas, but I am actually really liking this one. So far it has exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to more of it.
1. How could he so easily fall into the trap set by Prince Ju when rescuing those people?
2. It almost seemed like he knew YWY was behind the fake tablets, like it was coming together.
3. Telling YWY everything he has come to know and even though it seemed like he had suspicions of him.
