Person Yoo Ah In
i just saw some comments on the naver post about this matter. and the comments by the koreans are really brutal.
I mean… I can understand negative comments towards someone if they are accused of sexual assault…

Guys what is the ost besides dews in this series?! So far no one is giving me an answer!
Dude…... Clearly no one knows or they would’ve answered you. All I can recommend is checking on GMMTV’s YouTube channel for updates on the rest of the OST being released.

He deserves to return to the acting industry after receiving the help he needs. He is not a criminal who hurts…
And now he himself has a sexual assault allegation….

Because it's distributed by a Thai company, directed by a director from Taiwan and China, and jointly produced…
I meant disagreeing on whether or not the reason given is a good reason to mark it as a Thai Drama. But if you don’t agree with that/don’t care about it then I guess we’re on the same page 👍🏻

See now this is a good argument for marking it this way 👍🏻Based on the other user’s reasoning, simply because it was produced by a Thai company it is being marked as a Thai drama, it felt like a stupid choice. But if we are bringing in Chinese censorship as the reason, then I can agree that it isn’t stupid but is necessary 👍🏻

And that’s fine. We can agree to disagree on this point. Have a good day.

Dude that’s literally the reason why I asked why it was marked as a Thai Drama on here lol

Because I saw that Viki and everywhere else marked it as Chinese. I was asking to try to figure out why the person/fan who setup this MDL page chose to mark it as Thai 😂 I am aware that this isn’t an official site lol

I am aware, but dubbing due to dialect consistency or wanting a certain “voice” for a character is not the same as dubbing to change a show to a completely different language.

Personally I think it’s dumb to mark this as a Thai drama since it doesn’t use the Thai language and isn’t set in Thailand. Producers should be given credit no doubt, but it’s in Chinese, starring Chinese actors, and based off a Chinese work. It’s a Chinese Drama not a Thai Drama.

How is it dubbed in Chinese? They are Chinese actors….. You are telling me these guys filmed the entire show in Thai and then dubbed themselves in Chinese?

But they are Chinese and the show is in Chinese. A Love so Beautiful was based off a Chinese work but we still call it a Thai Drama because it’s in Thai.

As the story is based on true event, the UN peacekeepers from China did that to save people. This movie is a tribute…
I am aware that there are black Asians…. I also agree it’s not a documentary, but what I said is most likely what they would argue as their reasoning for the casting choice 🤷🏻‍♀️ Doesn’t make it right, but that’s what the argument would be.

Or they would take it a step further and tell Westerners to stop applying stuff to the East, but that’s another problem entirely…

But if what happened in real life was Chinese people doing blackface, would it make sense to have black Mandarin-speaking actors play the roles? The original people weren't black. It sucks for sure and I'm not sure why a story like this really needed to be made at all, but for historical accuracy, black actors portraying Chinese people wouldn't make sense.

Trust me, no one in the US liked the live action Mulan either haha. We all prefer Disney's animated version that was better in every way.

but also, how are people gonna be complaining about a plot we haven't even seen half of 💀 wild how people judge…
Oh no you’re totally good 😂

I will say I totally agree with your last point. A show has to be pretty bad to pan it after one episode. And I think in that case people are just trying to find fault in a show rather than watch it objectively.

The only show in recent memory where I watched Episode 1 and immediately knew I couldn’t watch the rest was Playboyy 😂

If anything usually my opinion on Episode 1 is either really excited for Episode 2 or just middle of the road that was fine. It’s rare that I watch Episode 1 and immediately hate a show 😆

Or some people may just be voicing an opinion that is different from your own. Not everyone has to like the same thing. Saying “I don’t care for” or “I don’t like” is a lot different than straight up people harassing actors, cast, crew, or fans online or in person. We need to have some nuance or else we get only two options: people who love something, and people who hate something.

Edit: If someone saying they dislike a show you like, hurts you, that's not good. People like different things. We shouldn't be genuinely hurt that someone doesn't like the same media as us.

If you are referring to the person two comments before yours, they didn't hate on the actors. They said they didn't like two characters and thought the story was a failure. Feel free to disagree with them, I wouldn't say I agree with them, but they are harming any actual people. They are expressing an opinion on a piece of media, on a forum made for discussing said piece of media.
