Where are you watching it at, if you dont mind me asking?>
I mean he might not want to promote it since it isn't good lol idk I don't try to hold anything against anyone. A job is a job and not all work out *shrug*

Net is barely in the movie at all actually. Super disappointing. I will say it wasn't really a vibe for me. I was laughing out of pure confusion as to what I watching but it definitely wasn't good. both the bullying and the drug dealing are a portion of it but neither are handled properly.

I mean it's kinda violent sure but that doesn't bother me.
this is a spoiler but there are no kisses, which is fine, but the relationships are super vague and the editing is ALL OVER THE PLACE. They had way too many storylines to handle and none of them got enough attention so it just felt very haphazard. Honestly I think the movie's main focus was making Perth look cool/hot and it was successful in that, but not much else.

I saw it in Japan. A few small artsy theaters around Japan started showing it on Aug 25th. I will say unfortunately the movie is not good. like I wouldn't recommend it at all....
I completely agree. Just saw it in Japan and the plot was all over the place AND it wasn't really a BL as far as I'm concerned. The entire movie was just vague. I suspect the movie was made to make Perth look good though since a lot of the best shots were of him imo.
I think the person is curious because it is a Korean title, but Thai actors. MDL literally lists the OG title as 우주 빵집 as opposed to how they would typically write the Thai title.
I think they achieved that transition really well. Ren was overworked and probably stressed out with his last…
I think that they rush them too is the problem. I had heard rumors of the deadlines being insane for the pay they were getting unfortunately :(
I actually just saw The Egoist at the Bucheon Film Festival (I also saw 美しい彼 there ☺️) and it was subbed in Korean but my god what a beautiful film. I loved it way more than I thought I was going too!
I haven't seen the Eng Subs for that but now I am terrified haha Morbid curiosity may make me check them out 🫣😂

Oh God some of the GagaOOlala subs I have seen..... 🫣 what are people doing haha 😂 yeah I think that sometimes ppl sub Japanese shows a bit stronger in English for some reason.... A really bad example I saw on (a drama I haven't actually watched yet) was "An Incurable Case of Love" or 恋は続くよどこまでも and they translated "baka" as the r-word.... like.... no.... it wasn't that strong my guy.... the guy meant it in a "idiot" or "dummy" kind of way 🤦🏻♀️

I want to provide a counter to that scene painting Kazuma as straight/hetero. I think a better analysis is that Kazuma comes across more like a late bloomer than just straight. I think my reasoning for this is I am watching it with the Japanese and watching the English subs so I'm not sure how the stuff was being translated until I just checked now.
First, Ren asks if Kazuma wants to date a girl, and he just kinda trails off like "まあ…そりゃ" "Well... I guess"
Ren follows up and doesn't say 女の子 (girl) but says 好きな子 (a kid/person you like - this still feels like it is leaning towards talking about a girl but it can be used for boys and girls imo since they are still kids).
Ren tells Kazuma that his list of stuff he would do with the person he liked is what he does with him already, and Kazuma agreed "確かに"
When Ren brings up sex, Kazuma is kinda taken aback. When he follows up and says "If you got a GF, would you want to have sex with her?" Kazuma just says "まあ 普通はそうだろう" or just "Well I guess so/naturally one would want to"
Honestly I don't like that the English subs say "Well... wouldn't you?"
I agree with you that Ren saying girlfriend was his way of trying to see how Kazuma would react since it would be the safest way to breach the topic, but it also kinda pushed Kazuma into a corner. Kazuma imo comes across very naive on this show and even if he did already have feelings for Ren, I can't imagine him coming and saying "Actually I think I like guys so 'yes' if I got a BF". Instead I felt like Kazuma's response was just kinda brushing the topic off because he was not interested in it/slightly uncomfortable with it.
TLDR, I just don't think that this show falls under the "I'm not gay, I just love him" trope unlike many other shows *ahem* MODC 😑
Edit: Also I agree giving him an ex girlfriend would've been suuuuuuper dumb so thank God for that 🙏🏻

Is he though? I really don't see Kazuma being played as straight...maybe it's a language barrier but to me the feeling of what he said in Japanese was more of a "if you want to have sex so badly, have it with me because it'll be safer that way". I'm not saying that makes Kazuma gay, but as a straight person, if my platonic female friend was in that situation, I wouldn't have had sex them like he did. Did I miss a section where he had previous girlfriends or something else in the narration? Because while BL/Yaoi has this big problem of "I'm only gay for you" which I personally don't like, I don't feel like this show is doing that at all..... 🤔
What do you mean by cliffhanger? The story is over. The only way they could make another season is to go into…
I understand that people can interpret it that way. However my interpretation is that the Borderlands will always exist and the hint at the Joker is an Easter egg for those who have read the books. And as someone who knows the source material, they would have to create new non-canon material or use the spinoff works.
The second season was better than the first mostly for the plot twists. Great rollercoster ride. Everything felt…

I read many Comments saying that they believe this is a censord BL or that suggests that there's something going…
Idk the show is pretty queer-coded. My friends don't watch BL and when we watched this together they kept asking me if it was because of their tension/chemistry
Did I miss a wrap up for when Jang Hey Jin dies? they didn't mention her husband getting charged for that from what I could see. just the charge for killing the doctor.
Do we have any evidence of MDL reviews somehow being inflated? Isn't it just an aggregate of every user's score? Just curious since the comment section here seems really pissed off about the rating of this show lol 🤣
Yep, this scandal is why the Chinese government hasn't released Immortality..... It's not the anti-LGBT stances or anything...... SMH

"The December 2024 potential release date is purely speculative, however, and will be updated as and when we receive more information."
The story is over. They would have to go into spinoff materials or make up something completely new (and imo unnecessary).
