but also, how are people gonna be complaining about a plot we haven't even seen half of š wild how people judge…
I mean I wasnāt trying to be boastful about my favorite shows š I think plenty of stories, romance included, can be slow burn and I like that. But slow burn can still be engaging from the beginning. I would say Heartstopper in a way is like this on a smaller scale. Or ITSAY.
I just think that the best stories typically engage the audience from start to finish. so if some people arenāt engaged from the start, they might be less inclined to watch the rest even if the story picks up later.
I personally have too many shows on my Watchlist to watch everything. So I try to focus most of my energy on shows that engage me from the start.
I do think they have a lot to handle with four couples for sure. But that was also a choice the writers made. Which good on them for taking a leap than can be difficult. I mean Only Friends did a solid job with 3 main ācouplesā intermixing, while adding a little bit of Namchueam and April to the mix even if they were still relegated to side characters.
We can agree to disagree at the end of the day and thatās fine. We shall see how I feel after the next few episodes, because my mind could change š¤·š»āāļø

I mean I could play Devilās Advocate and say it shouldnāt take until the halfway point of a show for you to be able to criticize a showās plot. I am on episode 3 and itās cute but for me nothing stands out that makes me want to watch this show more than others that these actors have been in. Depending on how they handle the plot from here, I might be more inclined to rewatch FUTS, NLMG, or MSP personally š¤·š»āāļø Most of my favorite shows BL or not have grabbed my attention by the first if not second episode at the least. I think We Are is fine so far, but not really attention grabbing for me personally.
Honestly I found it a little hard to follow and not particularly scary. The performances were good and I loved the look they went with for Lee Do Hyun but I doubt Iāll watch it again.
Honestly I was really excited to watch this show but Iām on episode 19 and I must have missed what people loved about it. I think itās fine but not phenomenal. The acting is fine, I like the music, the magic looks cool, and I think the chemistry is jife but I donāt find the plot that well done. It feels disorganized rather than merely complex imo.
Look up Japanās Unit 731 from WW2. Japan did lots of horrid things during WW2.
I mean would argue that at least the majority of youth in America don't agree with the sentiment that the use of the A-Bombs was moral or necessary. And we are taught about it in school. Whereas textbooks in Japan really don't shed much light on the atrocities committed by Japan across East and Southeast Asia before and during WW2.
