the first time i watched this i was fairly new to cdramas, and it took me forever to get through it. i would watch either one or part of an episode and then need a break from it. i thought it was slow and kind of confusing because there were so many characters, and some of them looked similar to each other. now it’s one of my favorite cdramas that i’ve rewatched a couple of times. love the main characters but also the supporting characters also. pretty much all of them bring something interesting to the table.
he’s such a talented actor. i like how he continues to choose a variety of roles from main character to second male lead to supporting characters, even after he has acted as main lead. he is willing to play the good guy to some “gray” characters. he also chooses an interesting range of genres.
taking care of one’s physical, mental, and emotional health is so important. self-care is necessary for everyone. your body can only take so much, so everybody, please take care of your health.
somebody please add actor, hu cheng yi to this drama. i tried looking him up on mdl and didn’t see him. he’s funny as ke ha/han zheng’s guard/assistant. https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Hu_Cheng_Yi
after watching the blood of youth and a league of nobleman, wulin heroes and the journey of chongzi were both such a disappointing bust that i dropped/put them on hold. so glad for the starry love and warm on a cold night to get me out of my cdrama slump.
i loved this cdrama. wish they would extend the 40 episode rule to 45 or 50 though. while this drama flowed well, a couple of extra episodes would have smoothed it out more.
on a different forum, i’ve seen several comments saying the ending confused them. maybe it’s just me, but i felt the ending was pretty easy to interpret. of course there might be some slightly different interpretations of it, but the gist seems like it would be pretty similar and easy to get.
side note: this cdrama has some interesting looking hats in it.
