somebody asked, “why do research if you don’t want to explore the unknown?”
while people might want to research the unknown, most people also want to succeed or have some wins at some point. some people can only take so much failure or losses, and having so many failures in a row can take a toll on a person mentally, emotionally, and physically. this is not singular to people in research, but to many people in general whether it is something in their personal and/or professional lives.

I keep seeing comments on another forum referring to this drama and Alone in Love. Is there any indication or connection that these 2 dramas are related other than the fact that they are about divorce? Are they both based on the same source material or something?

does this give anybody else sword, snow, stride and joy of life vibes? xiao se is not as “loud” as the main characters in those dramas, but he definitely has the cleverness and cunning parts down.

Does anybody else get irritated by the comments in the viki discussion area but can’t stop reading them? It’s like when you see a car wreck. you want to look away but can’t stop looking. It’s the sanctimonious, judgmental comments, and double standards that get me. Judging everybody that has any empathy for the characters or likes something that others think are not good or right morally. Then on top of that it’s the “don’t post any spoilers because I haven’t watched it yet” but they constantly post spoilers themselves. Selfish and self-centered people that only care about themselves and not about other viewers current or future. Thankfully mdl has good spoiler covers and a decent reporting system.

i’ve watched it on mgtv, and for some reason, the audio is unavailable/blocked in some scenes. there are no english subtitles in many of those scenes also. is it like that on prime also?

just curious but why are lin bo yang/qian luo, flora dai/ye ruo yi, and li xin ze/tang lian listed as main characters? i’m on episode 14, and they still seem like supporting characters.

why couldn’t they just use a different actress than her instead of canceling all of those dramas?

who is the actor that plays cheng wu?

i hated his character so many times in secret of three kingdoms. he did such a good job acting in it.

while the show does not flow smoothly in many places, personally, i don’t feel like it’s that complicated. you can assume certain things happened because of the scenes, and it isn’t that hard to figure out, at least to me it isn’t. somethings are pretty obvious, but i’ve seen several timed comments asking questions and stating that they are confused. also i love the chemistry between the main leads. i don’t see what the big deal is about their age difference.

such an amazing and versatile actor. he’s played an interesting range of characters.

could somebody please tell me why so many scenes were cut? i’m assuming it’s not because of the 40 episode limit since they had space with only 25. were they topics or scenes that are not allowed anymore?

teacher/student relationships are not a genre i normally actively pursue to watch, but i also don’t shy away from them or judge others for watching them. the comments and reviews are what drew me into this one. i wanted to see for myself how it played out. interesting how one of the reviews on another forum gave it 1 star because of the bullying, but they gave other dramas like boys over flowers and other dramas with bullying in them 10 stars and didn’t say anything about the bullying in those dramas.
