I watched this a while ago, pretty sure it was on dramafever, and I’m rewatching it now on viki. Somebody mentioned that the music has been changed in multiple scenes. I feel like I recognize most of the songs playing in the scenes or from the OST, but I could be mixing up the scenes + songs. Does the viki version have different songs in scenes from the dramafever version? Or was the dramafever version different from a version released on dvd, SBS, or somewhere else? Tia.

Only 13 episodes? 😭 I want more including expanding on some of the side characters’ stories, but I heard CCP was trying to do away with side stories or expanding on supporting character’s stories and focusing on only/mainly the main characters’ stories. 13 episodes seems too short though. Glad we are getting a second season though, even if it seems short.

He puts out some great dramas. Rarely disappoints.

She did an excellent job portraying her character in Blossoms in Adversity.

Definitely in the minority, I don’t know why, but I’m having a hard time getting into this one. I normally love these types of dramas, and I’m a fan of the actors, but it’s just not drawing me in. On episode 10 and struggling. Might give it a pause and try again later.

I’ve watched this multiple times now, and every time I watch it I gain more and more appreciation for more of the supporting roles. I loved the acting of the main roles, but I also love and appreciate the acting of many of the supporting roles. Guo Jia/Sunny Wang, Man Chong/Tu Nan, Xun Yu/Want Ren Jun, and so on brought life and emotion to their characters. Tu Nan as Man Chong sometimes made me hate his character, and sometimes I thought he was absolutely endearing. lol Excellent acting by the main and supporting characters.
