If they consider toxic silly fan wars while rating a drama as hit or flop, I have nothing to say tbh. A drama shouldn't be counted a flop because antis or fans voice out irrelevant stuffs rather than a good review of how it is actually. With regards to script, acting,character depth , romance,action,suspense I think The Long Ballad surpasses ELOD by leaps and bounds. I found ELOD kinda hard to finish, haven't finished yet, been dragging and forcing myself to finish it before TLB, but it arrived and there's no going back there now.

Yeah you pointed out a very amazing aspect of the drama. The open mindedness and flexibility of the male characters who aren't haunted by patriarchy. This drama depicts a very modernized mentality of men. Even men these days aren't so respectful towards women and support them to go all the way up.
