People need to get over the "she's not a man and how can those guys believe she is one!" Its a story no one is…
If girls would really look like full-fledged men, the story would feel gay as hell. I mean, you need to realize a girl is a girl.

Whatever the ending is, rest assured it won't be anything like that of Goodbye, my princess. Changge Xing is totally…
Actually for any main character to die here just doesn't make sense, so I hope no one does. I don't care about others, I want a happy ending for Changge and Ashina Sun.
Yeah you heard right. So the manhua is on hiatus. It was never resolved. So the manhua was discontinued but the author had an ending in mind which will be found in the drama hopefully.

Basically its the problem with any/most adaptation. As a person who’s been a big fan of chang ge xing since…
As an avid fan of the manhua, I think Dilraba is perfect for the role, let alone not being a good fit. And her acting in this role is so far amazing. Just the right emotions and expressions. The strong ruthless/painful expressions in war scenes are way better than even Zhao Liying's. And her crying eyes speak emotions more . And Sandra Ma as Li Changge would be too dull and adult. Completely a misfit, i believe.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
As the daughter of the former crown prince, if she needs stop to ask her uncle (the new crown prince) what happened…
Stealing the seal isn't shown in the manhua. But stealing it in the drama is a smart move here since she can instantly summon her father's troops with that seal. Even if her grandfather didn't stop the tragedy, does it make his uncle not the killer of her father and brothers? And the crime scene of her mother's dead body pointed at Li Shimin being the murderer as well. So of course, to jump into revenge, she has to take reckless measures considering her state of the mind at that time. She is not just any normal smart, her intelligence is a weapon in battles. She is hired as a strategist first by Shuo governor, and then by Ashina Sun and lastly by Uyghur Prince, her uncle. But if you demand to see someone who would question Li Shimin and talk to him after he massacres her whole family's death, then you are looking for a stupidass, backboneless, weak girl, who's not Li Changge.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
i'm up to ep 3, so far, i dont like changge's character, they said she is smart but i dont feel it, when she met…
So she would ask her uncle, who she loved and trusted like no one else, but finds him bloodbathed coming out of her mother's room to receive the news that Changge's father and brothers have all been killed. What would she ask? Let me phrase them, " Uncle, did you kill them? why did you kill them? "
But why would she ask all these when she already knows the answers at a glance? The answers- Yes he killed them. He was the one who ordered it and the soldier was reporting that where Changge managed to overhear. He killed them to overthrow obstacles & become the emperor.
Even after knowing these, just because she loved him deeply, more than his own father, she would ask these like a stupid girl? She loved him too much, so her hatred is just as much. So that much vengeance she carries in her heart. And all that her brain worked on was how to escape that hellhole and come back with an invincible army to overthrow him. And it was because her brain was always working that she stole the seal to make her way easier no matter what comes her way, she can survive, because her brain never stopped working even at tragic moments.
If you find her smarts lacking, you are looking for a stupid girl. Or maybe she's too smart for people to process what she's up to. I wonder if you will still find her smarts lacking when you will see her make battle strategies that made the Shuo province defend against the Turks attack, Eastern Turks defend against Western Turks and Uyghurs defeat the Turks. It was her intelligence that let her win these great battles.

Since I didn't read the manhua, there are a few things that intrigue me. Who are the antagonists here? What about…
Its not your simple antagonist-protagonist kinda story. This series shows all perspectives from all characters. But as a summary, Du Ruhui, Hao Du and Li Shimin are Changge's antagonists. Ashina She'er and the Great Khan are Ashina Sun's antagonists.

Sadly, I still find her acting abilities lacking or this role is not for her or a pitiful combination
Then you are just biased against her.

Just wanted to butt in and say that I'm really loving the drama so far! Although Dilraba never seems to be able…
Li Changge is supposed to look like a girly male when cross dressed as per the manhua.

I feel the same as you,I think changge mom kill herself..do you remember the night before, changge mom listen…
Its like that, yeah. She comes across so many things in her journey and realizes general people are the only ones who suffer from the power struggle. She wants the Great Tang to prosper. And she realizes if the death of only one man could bring back everyone she loved who died along the way, things would be simpler but it isn't. She gets to witness people's lives from a closer view after she sets out and stumbles upon obstacles.

Exactly, in those ages, its the actions that made a man rather than clothes and beauty. People really need to chill and get the point.

Title The Long Ballad Spoiler
You could try reading the history on wikipedia. Emperor Taizong's Tang Empire was at war with the Eastern Turkic…
Tombstone could have been for anyone dying. A lot of characters she met on her way died. So that tombstone doesn't have to be the ending for anyone. Doesn't make any sense.

A female pretending to be a male is a common theme, and often the actress' make up still make her look girly enough…
I'm really tired of replying to this comments, but in the manhua Changge was way girly looking. She cross dressed but always got told how girly she was and she too was too beautiful to pass off as a boy...so would guys please without not knowing point it out again and again? And if you are talking about masculine looks, Dilraba's looks in here is a lot boyish than any other drama portraying such tropes!

I think there will be a kiss scene or two. I saw a film clip a while ago when Dilraba was getting Interviewed…
Finally someone who thinks like me! I mean people ship Vengo with Dilraba like crazy not even caring they have a huge 10year age gap but Wu Lei is supposed to be too young for Reba when they are like 7years apart. And not to mention Dilraba still looks like she's in her early 20s. What a discrimination to girls even in shipping, man!

i love this drama but like could they have put a little more effort into making FL look like a boy? Its understandable…
Her character in the manhua is exactly like that. Too beautiful to pass off as a boy. Changge was mentioned to be a girly boy several times in the manhua when she cross dressed. So Dilraba's portrayal is perfect. Also there's no need for extra efforts. She already looks more boyish in the drama than what she did in the manhua.

Ok. I really don't care about what others say but I just LOVE this drama. Just 6 episodes in and it has pulled…
Whatever the ending is, rest assured it won't be anything like that of Goodbye, my princess. Changge Xing is totally a different themed one. And as far as I can assume, this drama is cut out for a good ending since the beginning and all the journey is tragic while in dramas like you mentioned, those starts off on a happy note and takes turns towards a sad ending. I heard the manhua artist had a happy ending planned so looking forward to how it is shown.

About some people saying that "Dilireba doesnt look like a man" neither does the (character) in the manhwa. In…
Thanks for pointing this out to everyone who barks without knowing at all! But really, Dilraba looks like a proper gorgeous man. The cross dressing is so much better than all the other dramas out there trying to pass girls as guys. She looks rather masculine here with all the layers of clothing. And she looks perfect. Changge in the manhua was mentioned to be looking like a girly boy so many times.

Exactly, Reba is on a whole different level. So its a great chance for Zhao Lusi to collaborate with a top tier actress like her.
