There are so many great costume dramas even after Feud. For example The Prisoner of Beauty, Legend of The Female General, Love in The Clouds, The Glory, WDBTD, Moonlit Reunion, Shadow Love, Fated Hearts, and etc many more.
Please don't say your "fave" as facts. For example I prefer Legend of The Female General and The Prisoner of Beauty rather than this drama. Fight For Love's first couple of episodes are still very so so for me. If I wanna compare with other general themed dramas, Fight For Love is not as engaging as LOTFG, Fated Hearts, and TPOB.

DYX looks different in this dramaHe normally looks smart, but in this he looks like a puppy
DYX looks more mature in other dramas like LYST, Melody of Golden Age, and Love Game of Eastern Fantasy.
In this drama, he looks like Han Shuo from TROTAR. His acting is also very childish in 2 first episodes. But I think after what happened to his family in ep 3, he will become more mature and colder.

Bai Lu got younger actors as her partners so many times. Like Zhang Ling He, Wang Xing Yue, Xu Kai, and etc. But they are still around her age honestly.
I guess it's because those are fantasy dramas so their hair and costume can be style and designed freely compared…

Hairstyle for Ding Yuxi in Love You Seven Times for their seven lifetimes in human world are for HISTORICAL DRAMAS. His fantasy wigs are applied in Heavenly realm only. When he went to earth or get reincarnated, he wear historical drama costumes according to dynasty era.
Also, Ding Yuxi in Love Eastern Game Fantasy also had long hair style for HISTORICAL DRAMAS. That's not particularly xianxia hairstyles. Just look at Ding Yuxi in Melody of the Golden Age hairstyle/ponytail hairstyle. It was really suited him.
