I think for this drama to tease us with such a happy, loving couple in the beginning, and then yank them away from us, was a bit too jarring. We've had a taste of their foreseen HEA, which is the opposite of what usually happens in dramas. Now, the writers are testing our staying power with this wild emotional ride.

I know right?! I need a fan after watching those scenes...LOL! Marcus Chang is the total package, and the three songs he sings for the series...I listen to on my way to work every morning.

Oh, yes. I forgot about that scene!! I think we all have different lines the ML can't cross, and if they do, they have to find a way to make us forgive them. Like Ingyin Ko Ko said in another post, there is still several episodes to go, so a reconciliation might have been too early. With that said, every scene is giving me heart palpitations...and at my age, I don't need added heart palpitations.

I'm all for someone writing a fan fiction where a disgruntled viewer (like we currently are) accidentally gets sucked into the story line of their favorite drama and then becomes a character who tries to right the wrong of the writers mistakes. Sort of a Tiger and Rose meets Lost Romance (which is my absolute favorite Taiwanese drama EVER)!

Yep...Hanging onto this series is like riding the Rock and Roll Roller coaster at Disney when you're not buckled in. Through it all...you don't dare let go though.

This series has touched so many nerves. I watch dramas for the HEA, but for this one, I just want Khim to discover the greatness of herself. To hell with the rest of them who are hell bent on destroying her spirit. The next few weeks are going to be interesting to watch, debate, decide, to say the least.

I watched Handsome Cowboy, and although Push's character did something unforgivable, his groveling in the end was one of the best I've seen. "Well trained in redemption issues..." I LOVE IT!

You are so right. I know we'll probably see a happy ending, but my heart is already spiked with thorns, I'm not sure if it's going to be a greatly satisfying one. I wished they would have taken another route than the ML caring about and then using the SFL so much.

I know there is time to change my mind about Kla, but this week already feels like going down a hot metal slide in short shorts.

Romance Writing 101:

"But in fiction, what makes a character irredeemable is simply that the reader doesn't want to see them redeemed. The reader (viewer) reaches a breaking point with the character, and is no longer interested in any outcomes for that character other than death, failure or punishment."

Kla's name is about to go in my definition book as: Irredeemable Male Lead. Dude better find a way to take his name off my book...and fast!

I feel like I'm going to be watching this week's episodes with one eye open. If Kla is going to test Khim's heart by proposing to Claire, I'm going to sulk for an entire week. Khim should be the one testing Kla's heart! I want to see a dab of begging, a pinch of groveling, and a cup of tears from Kla for me to be happy...just saying.

I was thinking…wasn’t Claire there, and she seemed desperate to try and stop Khim, inevitably causing the accident? IDK…I might be really wrong.

I second your rant and will pitch in to send Khim on a vacation far away. All of them hurting my baby girl like this, my heart is cracking! 💔

I was thinking the same! I do hope the writers make him regret his words and actions a little. I need some groveling in the next few episodes.
