Wow, just started watching as it dropped on Netflix, and just the beginning is the most captivating in the costume…
I agree! I had this up on the big screen yesterday, and both my husband and son passed by, stopped and watched, engrossed with Lusi's acting. It was like I had a football game on or something. They were both highly impressed.
I would like to say thank you to those who are working so hard to post facts regarding the greatness of this drama. This has been one of the most informative drama pages I've ever followed. Of course, tastes are always subjective. How we watch a drama is also differing. Not everyone is going to fall in love with this story. Still, a shout out to those holding the line, thank you!
Doesn't watch her anymore got irritated that she doesn't like Zhu Yiwei acting in judge dee mystery if you're…
Part of me wonders if she had the review scripted the moment she found out the leads. Lusi and Lyn are making their characters memorable. Perhaps....she was just sitting on the script like a hen and keeping it warm until the right time.
It's so interesting to read the varying opinions of others on the direction and pacing of the lead's reconciliation. Some want it now. Some want to see it flushed out more while also appreciating the growth of the character of which the drama is titled. No matter how the leads choose to "reunite", it will never be able to please everyone.
For me, the leads are still dealing with so much. The synopsis uses the analogy of untying a heart's knot for one character; however, I see them both in this analogy. Seriously, have you ever tried to untie a knot?! There's a fine line (or string) between patience and fortitude and just grabbing a pair of scissors. Now imagine the knot tied between two battered hearts pulling and struggling with so much uncertainty.
As for some calling this boring, that is subjective. Personally, I find the pace fast, solid, and consistent. I haven't felt a boring moment in this drama, but perhaps because I do a lot of investing in the characters. And, I think this is what sits this drama apart in so many ways for me. It has somehow pulled me in to care about each other character and their story and made me a part of the scenes instead of a mere spectator.
saw the title and didn't agree with it..so didn't watch it
Same. She's turning off a lot of people to her biased reviews. To keep the integrity of professional reviewers who work hard to gain respect and traction in their industry, I wished she wouldn't be so blatant about it.
From beginning romance wasn't focus of this story, I expected whole drama will be mostly about DW and her jewelry…
So many different opinions on how relationship reconciliation should be handled. I personally really like the pacing. Wounds can take a long time to heal.
