It’s unfortunate how some accounts disguise themselves as Lusi fans and then come off as the most controlling “voices” who want nothing more than to draw from her success and control how she should live her life.

Despite these controlling voices, Lusi continues to choose the roles SHE feels will make her grow as an artist. She’s not self-centered to believe she must choose something that will always be popular or keep her on the top of the popular charts.

As a supporter and fan of her work, I appreciate what she’s accomplished in her very young career. Because of this, I can stand back and celebrate her choices with an open heart.

Now, for the facts:

Her last drama to air, The Story of Pearl Girl, has reached 1.4 billion playbacks on Maoyan and 1.5 billion on Lighthouse. On Netflix, TSOPG has been in the TOP 10 for five weeks in 8 different countries. It is currently still trending number one and ranked No 2 on Youku's Top Shows and has been since its last episode in my region (US). The drama is also running for a SECOND time on Jiangsu Satellite TV. Her character, Duan Wu, on the Vintage Drama Character Index broke 9+ for 29 consecutive days. And what an amazing and iconic character she portrayed. She is an actress who is willing to step out of her comfort zone and take on challenging roles to deliver captivating characters to her audience.

Her other two dramas on Youku, Hidden Love and Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling are in the top 10 in my region. That's THREE of her dramas in the TOP 10 on Youku.

The Last Immortal currently sits on WeTV's HOT All time Top list in the Number ONE spot. "It saw more than 1.7 billion effective views across the entire network by the end of its run. Additionally, by the end of its VIP run, it had entered the Top 30 on Tencent's Classic Best-Sellers List with 25.3 million sales, showcasing a strong commercial performance. (Grok)

Love's Ambition has reached 1.051 million reservations for a drama that just wrapped up filming three months ago.

Almost Lover is currently the top ranked drama in the Drama Influence List in Weibo's Top TV Series. They haven't even finished filming.

So, to say I am in awe of Zhao Lusi as an actress is an understatement. She is someone who continues to impress, grow, and captivate with the roles she has chosen to play. I'm usually not a big fan of overpowering FLs but here, in every trailer I've seen, it's working so well. His reaction and smile at the end...I think he's met his match.

I first saw her in Under The Power, and loved it. The scenes where she has to deal with the ML (Allen Ren) converting to a young boy personality were hilarious.

They released the 1st movie in select theatres in the US last October. Watching it on the big screen was epic. I hope we see the 2nd movie here, too.

I agree! I had this up on the big screen yesterday, and both my husband and son passed by, stopped and watched, engrossed with Lusi's acting. It was like I had a football game on or something. They were both highly impressed.

I would like to say thank you to those who are working so hard to post facts regarding the greatness of this drama. This has been one of the most informative drama pages I've ever followed. Of course, tastes are always subjective. How we watch a drama is also differing. Not everyone is going to fall in love with this story. Still, a shout out to those holding the line, thank you!

Part of me wonders if she had the review scripted the moment she found out the leads. Lusi and Lyn are making their characters memorable. Perhaps....she was just sitting on the script like a hen and keeping it warm until the right time.
