Yo I was thinking about watching their other series after seeing Durang with You but itβs seems that one is…
I agree, I tend to avoid them as well. I try those who have really good ratings because I'm curious but most of the time, I can't finish them. Khemjira was great though if you look past the typical domundi top/bottom dynamic. I really liked the story, the horror/supernatural theme was a nice change and the second couple was very cute with a normal characterization. And at least, Keng and Namping are only 2 years apart irl even if they portray a bigger age gap in the story.
The infantilization of bottoms in Domundi shows is... weird to say the least but this one takes the cake for me. Teerak is straight up a 10yo child stuck in an 18yo body. I painfully finished it but I couldn't even watch the nc scenes. The character of Teerak is just too child-like for me and there is a point where it gets too disturbing.
Weβre not okay with his behavior, and weβre definitely not supporting it. The series doesnβt try to normalize…
I don't think I'll be able to watch it until the end. There is just... something I really don't like about it, outside of the SA part. It's my second time trying to watch it already, first time I didn't finish the 1st episode and I decided to come back to it because it has such great ratings but... I don't think it's for me. I'll eventually try to finish it at a later date because I want to understand what you mean but not for right now π
Sorn is so forceful and such a red flag. You just can't root for him. The way he belittles Jun to get him to do what he wants with him is so gross too. I'm glad he was able to change in the end, but damn, if this was real life, no shot you're giving this dude a chance. Also the plot was kind of inexistant, it was just Sorn pursuing Jun in the worst ways until Jun tells him to fuck off, and only after that, bro realises he's been a massive POS. Oh, and I hated Yoon with PunPun. Didn't see the chemistry between them. I hate how Yoon always has "daddy" roles, it doesn't suit him imo. Anyway.
Had to drop it at ep5, I just couldn't get into it. There is something so inauthentic about it but I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't mind stories that are a bit "unbelievable", you don't have to portrait day to day regular life people everytime, but I just... don't like the production I guess? Also, there is straight up SA. Am I supposed to root for Fan Xiao or am I supposed to hate him? Why is this so normalised? Why are so many people okay with the idea of a man SAing another man? I... I don't get it. Anyway.
This show is criminally underrated. It was really good. As a pan girly myself, I LOVE the pan representation in it. Both MLs have great chemistry, and MonPak are my babies. I wish they could be MLs in better shows then they have been so far. This series focuses on so many important topics that are never talked about in BLs like consent (especially at a time where "dubious consent", as mdl likes to call it, is still glorified and rape culture is so prevalent in BLs) and reproductive health. There is a sense of relatability in the characters, and at the same time, it still keeps its usual thai silly goofy humour without overdoing it. I would LOVE to see other projects with BestSeng (or SengBest, whatever, they give me switch vibes anyway) and JaonineNokia together. That's an 8.5 for me, just because I was smiling like an idiot the entire time and it rarely happens π
Aaaaah finally finished it, that was so good! it deserves more than an 8.1 for me honestly. Every intimate/kiss scene between Daou and Offroad make me feel like I shouldn't be here π€
Hearing Jin Yun talk in the bts feels illegal π«£ I just rewatched it for a second time after watching it last year, and I am not a rewatcher in general. That's how good this show is. π
Only thing I can say about the ending is that at least it's better than Stay With Me's fuckass finale πDefinitely…
I just finished the show and dude, same. Geniunely thought the sub teachers WERE in a relationship, I was so confused about this weird tension they had with the english teacher. Also, pretty sure in the begining, the one that has the cafe/restaurant introduces the other one as his "partner"? Maybe it was a mistranslation for "work partner", I don't know but I got so confused when it was made clear they weren't together.
