Episode 16: Thank you for FINALLY being open about all your narrow and unilateral decision-making -- BOTH of you. Gosh this confession and discussion was BADLY needed.
The story is the very thing keeping me engaged, but it's also slightly rushed. Would have liked for this drama to be closer to 60 episodes rather than 42.
Episode 21 between Luo Luo and Kong Ming is just too much. I love this episode. Not usually one to be taken by romantic sequences but their interaction is just way too funny and cute. (And how can you not love those freckles, anyway?)

Episode 14 second half is simply C L A S S I C. That was an unforgettable sequence of events, and Ji Yunhe's sheer will and defiance was simply *awesome*, in the true meaning of the word. But then... Well IYKYK.
And the highlight??
**Yunhe standing in haggard defense supporting herself on her sword, confronted by Shunde's forces**
"I can't retreat tonight. And I will not do it."
**The piercing sound of friction between sword and stone as she animates herself in readiness for war**
In general the drama is good but you can tell that the writers did not made even the simplest research on some…
I feel that some of the ongoing dialogue between TCM and WM is incredibly simplistic and almost patronising. And some characters bug me a lot in this, especially Mr. Holier-Than-Thou. But apart from that I think this is pretty good.
Youku should have just kept the drama in two parts.😭 Lost you forever is going to be in two parts....although…
The strongest part of TTEOTM for me is the story, which is frankly brave and impressively dynamic, as well as even being poignantly philosophical. Sadly, the direction of this drama doesn't QUITE maximise the compelling story because the pacing and also the "framing" of characters in terms of where they stand within the drama/story lore has probably suffered somewhat from the drama being edited to fit into 40 eps.
i liked the drama until like ep 11 and forward where we go through this unnecessarily long arc/backstory of characters…
You're in what was the worst phase for me, which is that Bo're life dream arc or whatever, which will end for you soon enough. But I reckon the strongest part of the show is to come from roughly eps 20-30.
Is the version on the "YOUKU English-Get APP now" Youtube channel the same as the others? Because in some episodes the sound kinda cuts out. And there are regular strange music cuts and sloppy audio editing but then that appears to be a bit of a habit for a lot of these epic Xianxia dramas...
Bing Chang absolutely makes my blood boil. And sure there are far worse than her in some other dramas but woooooo does she piss me off. She's also remarkably pitiful... very low opinion of herself.
"You're truly despicable, Ye Bingchang."
"I never thought that Bingchang was such a person."
If you want something beyond insane then try Ashes of Love - it has one of the most stunning moments of any drama ever. I do see similarities between Ashes of Love, Fairy and Devil, End of the Moon. All of them involve a character having an inability to feel love for a period of time, and for reasons which were beyond their control.
LOL

"还有谁!"
"WHO ELSE (DARES)!"
... Let the carnage commence...

Oh the horror.
Although in any case they could have taken the Love Like the Galaxy approach and just made two seasons.
