He is implied to be dating his female classmates in the end, so the age gap theory is out the window
I'm not sure what u consider as dating but taking a girl out, by yourself, is absolutely a date. And he wasn't at all clueless (about being hit on), not even a bit. He was uncomfortable because they are teens and he is 50 and he kinda sees himself as their uncle figure. But there was that unncessary conversation about Minji's face and treating girls etc and Minji being jealous of the other girl. And in the last scene is absolutely implied that he goes on dates with girls, because he literally invites Sekyung to a double date, and is like "youth is made to be enjoyed" yada yada.
That's why he left. Because nobody including his own parents gave two shits about him. The only people who cared…
It is, but I guess u can consider it as sort of HE for him as well. Maybe he will reborn in a family that actually wants him and get the good life that he deserves.
Yeah, I'm not 100% sure why the girls' confessions or asking him out *had* to be a thing.I get it in one sense…
If they wanted it to be thing, make a thing in earlier eps, so we can get over it, rather than in the last episode, so we can concentrate on the endgame b/romance.
Was no romance between any; boy or girl. She might had a crush on him but he didntZERO romance.
They needed a couple more eps coz they literally shoved everything in that last one. Yiheon's dad and secretary, his mom and addiction, SeKyung's dad, that Jaehoon guy who was absolutely Yiheon's love rival for SeKyung, KDP gang, that unncessary love triangle... The episode has everything. That scene where Yiheon and the girls were listing random webnovels and that "title in the dialogue" scene was as forced as Canon Printer product placements in Thai Bls
If they really wanted to shove easter eggs in there, they should have shown that Dong Soo goes back to his hometown and starts a eal restaurant (like KDP wanted) and then have his ULS costar walk-in as a customer, hinting at the actor,'s upcoming ULS sequel.
I was absolutely on board with bromance and everything, but the last episode is pissing me off. Like it's fine…
First, the rapist has 3 scenes in the whole dramas. Secondly, censoring a bp to bromance for a mainstream drama is absolutely a business decision - u guys forget that gay romcoms are not mainstream, even in the western media. Brokeback Mountain happened 20years ago and is a BE. Call me by your name, another mainstream gay romance, is based on an autobiography (I have the book) and the lover goes back to his fiance at the end while the MC "matures". As much as we would love bls in mainstream, there are most of the world is still conservative and homophobic. Taking a queer IP and censoring SOME (as in the graphic/on the nose) relationship to make it more DADT makes sense from business standpoint. That's also why we welcome "Chinese BLs".
But straight-washing is a completely different ballgame. It's fine to be DADT, but introducing the straight romance 10mins into the finale is utter bullcrap. It's just Mr. Queen (another queer coded drama which was remade as a straight romance) all over again.

They literally wasted scenes forcing a love triangle between MinJi, the classmate, and The library/study room girl, who barely had one scene in first 7 eps. There was no romance but there was an opening for it, which wasn't needed. Sekyung and Yiheon are not only canon but also were been firmly established in the drama. Also, in the last scene Yiheon is inviting Sekyung on group dates, implying that he is happily enjoying his new body with teen girls.
I really did like ending and the drama overall but some things gave me a bit of pause such as sometimes it is…
I was absolutely on board with bromance and everything, but the last episode is pissing me off. Like it's fine to bromance the bl, but what was the point of that unnecessary love triangle between Yiheon and the 2 girls (they wasted so many scenes and it came absolutely outta nowhere) and that "big reveal" was that Sekyung is an asshole (we been knew, it wasn't a big secret).
Also, like u said, the group date line. The biggest reason to get rid of the bl was uncomfortable gap between 50yr old KDP and 19yr old Sekyung, butbit's fine with 50yr old KDP going on dates with 19yr old girls?? That's not weird or creepy??
he just died and nobody even mourned him.... his parents don't even know ðŸ˜ðŸ˜he was so young too. had his…
That's why he left. Because nobody including his own parents gave two shits about him. The only people who cared were a classmate he barely talked to and some random passerby who died because of him. That's it.
To those who watched Mr Queen, how did you feel about this ending?
As someone who loved Mr.Queen until the final swap, this is exactly what I ever wanted in a soul swap drama. KDP was the one who deserved to live in that body. Yiheon was a sweet guy but with his personality, absolutely nothing would have changed. Also, Sekyung loved KDP, not Yiheon. So, KDP needs to live for Yiheon as well
If they hadn't wasted the few scenes in ep 8 on the unncessary forced "love triangle" that went nowhere (Yiheon, classmate and the library girl) and instead saved those precious minutes for a bigger epilogue of SeKyung and Yiheon in college, that would have been much better. The bromance was perfect but why even bother to straightwash when they don't wanna commit to it either. Keep it pure bromance - the feelings were mutual anyways. Why force a romance where it wasn't welcome or needed.
I have been defending this drama since day 1, but those few scenes pissed me off. Honestly, I would have given it 1* just for those two scenes, but that would be me being petty and ridiculous since it is pretty much a perfect drama otherwise.
Song Yi Heon died because was to tired to live, but happy someone could be happy in his bodyKim Deuk Pal continued…
Kim deuk pal's body was creamated/burned after the accident. He never had a body to return to. It was either Yiheon's soul will live in that body or KDP
'My Perfect Drama'It was perfect up till the very end. Last few episodes felt a bit drag but it was still much…
Chinese drama Shining for One thing on Iqiyi. FL goes back into the past because her boyfriend since highschool dumped her week before the wedding... and keeps running into the classmate who died on the day of their graduation.
But seriously, a guy sees a wall full of pictures of himself and boxes full of stuff that he's touched and doesnt…
Both are fucked up in the head. That's why they work. One is an obsessive stalker, other is a compulsive narcisist who lives off of that obssession. If it was anyone else, they would have been smothered
you're not going crazy I just rewatched the series and there are missing scenes for sure. I was actually confused…
There is seriously a lot missing. I wonder if Seng's controversy has anything to with it, but afaik all of Nuae/Toh scenes are there. But side couple scenes are definitely missing.
There was also a compilation of deleted scenes but it's also missing (copyright issues maybe, idk)
