The (illegitimate) pregnancy forced the actress to retire and live in hiding. So, she has taken to drinking (she yells at Yiheon about how he ruined her life by being born, like lady u fucked a married man and got pregnant, and u blame the child that was born from your actions).
The Chairman's wife (legal wife) is dying. Chairman presumably has only daughters from his official marriage, so as the only male child, even if he is illegitmate, Yiheon is most likely the next successor. And his mom (the mistress) is in running to be next legal wife, if the old one should die (think of it as a ancient harem drama).
The vamp, secretary Lee Mi Kyung (who hired the thugs in ep 3) is one of Chairman's other mistress who is trying to compete with Yiheon's mother as the next wife of the Chairman. That's why she is trying to get rid of them both.
