People forgot the just because they make a few gay web dramas, doesn't mean they are progressive about same sex issues..hell, this is the same country where female celebs are cancelled just for holding a "feminist" book.
Also, K-bl is a very new infant industry. Where You Eyes Linger is literally the first kbl (which wasnt a depressing indie art-film with unhappy ending). And it came out in 2020.

It's not a creators job to do jack. Artists make stories they want, that's their artistic freedom. If someone wants yo consume that art, great. If not, great.
Also, wtf are u talking about? It would be a legal discourse if the author sent a C&D to every person who spoke against the adaptation. She didn't. I don't think even knows or cares about your existence or this thread. As an author, who owns the IP, is her legal right to sell work to whoever she pleases. U don't have a LEGAL right to speak against it any more than she does to stop you.
That said, if u saying that artists and creators should cater to special snowflakes then that's on you, because nobody owes you anything.

It's HER story, HER IP. She can so whatever with it. As much I hate JKR for heroifying that child groomer Dumbledore or hate the fact Ron-Hermonine ended up together, I have no say in HER story or she chooses to do with them. Even that stupidass Eigth Scroll or whatever the sequel play was called (which hurt my sentiments) again, it's her right to fuck with her own characters in whatever way SHE pleases.
Just because an artist releases their book, music, art into the world doesn't mean they stop having rights on it.
If the author wanted to sell her story to a homophobic producer and adapt a bromance from it, that's entirely her business.
That "kpop quiz" in ep 5 was more forced than Oishi product placements in GMMTV bls. Shame the leads couldn't plug their own groups/companies as well.

U cant say let things run course when she died young and left her son to live a hard life. The decision he made, was not just for her but also for himself. He deserves a loving family/parents, as much as she deserves a good husband.
