The plot does revolve around the homophobia and gay bullying. It's subtle, people who can understand it did. Yiheon diary literally says he was bullied for being a "stalker" of a male classmate. "Samajne wale ko ishara kafi hai" (an insider can even understand even a subtle hint). I understood it. KDP understood it. Anyone who has lived in a conservative country where homosexuality is criminalised and/or a social taboo and/or anyone who has faced similar bullying understands it.

Sekyung is deeply closeted. His father is conservative man who thinks his son should do everything the right way. According to conservatives, homosexuality is NOT the right way. I understand it because I have lived it and fought it. So, SeKyung, can only hint and subtext. We are barely 2 eps in. This drama has 8 episodes. They might be more than friends by the end of it.

They don't need to kiss and screw to show they are a couple. Most couples in conservative countries - gay OR straight - would'nt. You don't need to kiss or make declarations to be a couple.

The only people who are crying for "representation" are bl fangirls who want to see two mainstream actors make out on screen. But that won't happen if they want to work in mainstream again.

Action and bromance is sooooooo good, it's making me depressed because I got impatient. Usually my impatient ass waits till a drama completes but I was trying to rub in the faces of anti-s and started it early. Now, it's like a drug or something, and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

The only other time that happened was while watching WOH (it was hell because that drama has like 50 episodes). Thankfully, this has only 8.

Even if they cut the bl part, KDP-Yiheon gives power bottom vibes. Original Yiheon was just a sad puppy. Se Kyung in the novel is probably the uke, I guess, but in the drama, he gives yandere top vibes.

Seriously. James had a good plot/character arc but it was Net who carried the show. James was good enough but Net was amazing.

Or the nurse clinica when he was treating Yiheon,'s wounds so preciously but got pissed when he figured out it's not him. The way he was talking about "we slept together, went on trips, call each others parents as mom and dad" boy is talking like they married, not "best friends".

That talk about how Yiheon stalker him for 2 years and KDP didn't have "his personality... his eyes... his smile..." If someone is an unwanted stalker, u dont stare at his eyes and lips, sweetheart. U stare away because you are uncomfortable. Even KDP caught on that because he was like "maybe you just assumed his eyes and smile" and bro was ready to throw hands.

Ooh and let's not forget how he got jealous when Yiheon was talking and laughing with those girls like "you can smile...you know how to hang with others 😠😠".
