My Dear Loser (bl) he sucked, Pluem sucked, story sucked. Also, in Our Skyy 1.

Gifted (with Nanon and Gun) - he was pretty amazing with grey-vibes. Bromance with Nanon, which everyone kept hoping for a Chinon perma-ship.

Blacklist - havent watched it (kinda similar story to Gifted) but quite a few people call it "poor man's Gifted" (iykwim).

U are literally saying the same thing. Chimon IS a good actor, he can even be one of GMMTV's best with some more effort (acting classes would help) but. I said again, he is NOT good at romance (or like u said, "keeping romance alive"). He did good at "unrequited crush" but he absolutely sucked during romantic scenes. He is just not made for romance.

If u are familiar with Bollywood I would compare him with Abhishek or Vivek Oberoi. Great actors but they have niche talent - Abhishek is amazing in character roles, Vivek Oberoi is good in action, but both suck in romance. Both of those dudes acted with Aishwarya Rai (hell, Abhishek eventually ended up marrying her) - and they are some of her worst rated romance movies.

U can have the pain. In, fact the pain is worse because u KNOW u dont NEED to be in pain. It's like having the cure for a life threatening disease but u just arent allowed to take it.

Shining for One Thing (a brilliant time travel drama on Iqiyi) logic - it's better to know that it is mutual but u cant be together but also know WHY u cant be together. That way u can have the closure u need to move on and not wait for a love that will never happen.

I blame 80% blame the script but Chimon is just not good in bls. He was stilted in My Dear Loser as well but most of the blame fell on his then costar Pluem (who since then has written off bl roles). Here, Perth is a very well established actor and this ship was like watching one guy dance tango while his partner is learning to walk. Maybe Chimon is fine in bit roles (though he did spend most of NLMG with a constipated face around Neung, and had actual romance with Perth for like 5 mins in last 2 eps, so maybe it was just a Placebo effect since the rest of drama was amazing). But here, as a main lead in full time gay role where the script is already bad and the only thing to keep this snoozefest alive is the actor's skills, and maybe it was too much for him.

I mean Perth's role is much worse here (he is more bipolar than Pune's weather in monsoon) but the guy has acted literally every scene, no matter how unbelievable nonsensical, with enough conviction that u love him when he does something sweet and romantic and then u wanna kick him in the face when he acts like an asshole and it is LITERALLY 2 scenes apart.

Also, I think u are missing something. Bromance refers to a queer-platonic relationship between two men (lovers, friends, brothers, strangers). It's when guys take "bros before hoes" very extremely and put each other before everyone - family or lovers. It doesn't matter if they are gay or straight or related.

These days bromance basically means watered down bl, but it doesn't take away the fact that essence of bromance is more about feelings and emotional connection as opposed to sexual one.

Perth and Ohm in that show was very much a bromance even if they were on two different sides.

The difference between shipping and pairing is that u can ship anyone who has potential, while for a canon pairing to be successful, there needs to be more than just base chemistry. Perth and Ohm, even if they PLAYED brothers had that chemistry/fire that you would expect from a young romantic couple. I dont ship siblings but I do want Perth and Ohm to play lovers (hopefully similar to their previous role, but they are NOT related so they can end up together).

Perth and Chimon had decent chemistry in NLMG, but I guess a full bl was too much for Chimon so he folded.

Honestly, that money scene and shower scene from the trailer (and how they were cut) was literally what kept me hooked. I sat through (okay, fast forwarded) 10 eps of boring nonsense just for that money scene and well... My time would have been more well-spent watching paint dry. I dont even care what happens any more

It's not even a good hookup. This is like saying u accidentally brushed ur face against someone else in a packed train so now you are a couple. I have seen people have better chemistry with a stranger they accidentally napped on in a bus than some of these bl couples, no shade.

For eg: if enemy cp is KhaoFirst and lover cp is ForceBook, so the final pairs are KhaoBook and ForceFirst.

And we just dont acknowledge that it's a completely new guy (or that even the actors have changed), apart from side characters giving them an occasional side-eye or something.

Edit: lmao, ngl but this is giving me KinnPorsche AU where if Kinn and Bible somehow switched personalities lmao.

2 different timelines. They are (no-homo) murder enemies in one, lovers in another and somehow one of them switches places (something to do with lunar eclipse and tidal waves). So, now you have enemy Sun trying to murder his lover Solarpanel (dv, blackbelly, toxic relationship, mental breakdown). Meanwhile, in alt universe, lover Sun is trying to fuck his no-homo murder enemy (enemies to lovers, dub-con hate sex, cheating with eventual HE).

What's even more amazing is that both are two completely different actor pairs and when both Suns switch literally everyone can see it (because it's a completely different person, just the name is same), except for the Solarpanels who treats them like normal.

Aiyooo Water and Waterwheel lmfao. Though First and Mark would rock it as Water and Waterwheel, a pair of super obssessed lovers who just want to watch the world burn.

And finally, complete the trilogy with Sun and Solarpanel.

Eff that. Chinese bls are superior because u can't cope out of actual plot/chemistry with dead fish kisses and gratuitous bed scenes. They actually have to make an effort to play a believable couple to work around the censorship.
