I watch GIA1 but it’s okay for me and there’s scene they also do a lot of exaggeration okay because of comic relief situation style same as what this drama is doing now. I think same style also for GIA2. The girl is chasing also the guy. And also the female lead there is also supporting lead for Shuxin in her new drama she’s filming right now. She’s really not overacting here, in my opinion, I take acting class before and have director friend so I also know what’s overacting or not or just needed by the plot, I see she’s embodying her role and she’s good at it because it feels natural due to to her confidence acting it, some actress tend to be awkward acting this role. And some scenes she does intended to be comic relief of drama.

Honestly, No hate to Li Jiaqi, but she still haven’t made a big name/splash in mainland China. And I don’t know why you bash her when in fact they are friends. It’s actually a good opportunity and exposure for Li Jiaqi because Shuxin is well known in mainland. She's not overacting, she's faking fool in front of ML. I don't know if you really understand the story. She's playing it according to the character. It's not cup of your tea, drop it than saying nonsense. She’s the cute girl who acts that I didn’t cringe because it feels natural to her and she’s confident in acting. I find some actress fails to do it because they are so conscious and awkward doing it. They start to lose confidence in doing it. Cute roles seems underestimated always but it is really hard to act than acting in a serious tone in my opinion. You need to set the mood and audience need to feel outside the screen your vibrancy and positive energy. Cute character is not a cup of tea of everyone because it’s rare now and also due to false impressions of feminism that you have to be less girly and be sort of masculine, cool, bad-ass trend. Also due to strict and high standard that a girl needs to attain and pressure mature immediately.

So far, I’m actually liking the drama, like how she’s just like us when removes her make-up, her witty answers in order to avoid that pervert boss of that company, her being friendly, and her always ready to admit her mistake, her positive outlook even sometimes I saw it also as weakness because she doesn’t rely or tell it to other people, she bottled it up.
Also, she’s not totally blind for love, the trailer will just mislead you or if you watch the episodes without subs. She’s intentionally trying to be fool in front of male lead or just her being in denial about her true feelings hahahaha. It’s sort of a mask just like her only being confident to face any people face to face.
Cdrama FLs usually undergoes character development, I saw it mostly in Shuxin’s drama. Seems foolish but will mature throughout. I actually like this type of storyline than watching a perfect FL throughout the story. It doesn’t only apply to leads, but supporting also. I’m the type of watcher to see if the characters will have progress, may it be good or bad, and if that kind of change is too fast or slow in the timeline and logical to why they become like that in the end. I hate flat characters, like where’s the creative writing and feels like no depth and just a background in the story for other characters.
The male lead isn’t actually lame, he’s just so focus in his career that to the point he’s losing his social life. He has PhD degree. Although Yu Meiren also have it but she isn’t practicing it in my opinion, she just using it as hobby and sometimes blog about birds and focus in being a fashion blogger. Her parents doesn’t seem to know it since she says in the beginning there’s 3 jobs that her parents seems to be satisfied.
I’m also curious why she’s somehow change career, I said it that way because she seems like not practicing her degree, just taking it as a hobby. Maybe the pressure in that field is so great. Honestly can relate to that feeling.
It have a feeling of 2000s good drama vibes. It’s so light-hearted and feel good drama.
About her voice, I actually love it, this is not exaggerated, this is really what I feel, her voice alone makes me feel giddy and unconsciously smile. I start liking her is one factor is she’s so unique, one of the factor adding to it is because of her voice. I don’t see it wrong, because some of my friends talk like that plus me also sometimes when I can’t help it due to extreme emotions and forget to modulate my voice. Plus it’s her natural voice. And actually her voice according to Cnetz, she really have clear and distinct pronunciation, that it didn’t need subtitles. It’s rare for c-actors to have a standard mandarin that’s why before NRTA new rules comes out, most actors are dubbed. I feel that her voice is in deed in character. Also, she can do sassy voice to and mellow and gentle voice. Famous voice actor praised her for dubbing.
I think one factor that I think why some people are annoyed to her voice is because of false stereotyping and false idea of maturity they associated to it in her voice. Also honestly, maturity comes at different point and stages in different people due to their experiences, people they encounter, and environment and culture you live. It’s hard to force someone to mature especially when you are being superior to think that you kind of reach of that level of your ideal type of maturity. Maturity is something that needs to polished forever until you die in my opinion.
I’m only in episode 3, Although this genre is in light-hearted drama, I’m sure they purposely show first comedic and super light scenes before starting to tackle an issue or introducing a problem. That’s always how it goes. They said it’s a healing and environmental issue drama so mostly I assume it will have to do with Person vs Himself/Herself conflict and Person vs Environment drama.
Watching first without subs then watch it again if there is already. Why there’s already a rating on this? International fans can’t even watch it yet because there’s no subs.
