I actually dislike DFQC in the novel. I feel like XLH deserves better so I’m happy that DFQC in drama have depth and settings. He isn’t just a flat character. Novel = more XLH perspective / Drama = more DFQC perspective.
The production who made the drama also is the one made the Donghua (anime). You can also check it on IQIYI. Same title.
