You’re just nitpicking every female characters. You’re just finding trouble and fight with cute characters. Maturity lies with the mindset and putting your shoes in different character, not just to strong characters. What’s wrong with being cute or cute at all? I don’t find it troublesome. I have friends like that. Does it mean I have to be annoyed. Let’s just accept is not your preference but you should not always nitpick them every time you got a chance. I already know you hate that character, I respect that but doesn’t mean everyone will have the same sentiments as you. If you know Wang Xinling who recently won contest of 30+ age woman. One of the reason cnetz remember her is because of her cute character before in Smile Pasta, and if you know Douyin China, they do a lot of cute trends. If you want cool girl and definition of strong girls, you should be probably watch Hollywood dramas like Game of Thrones, there’s a lot of strong type of girls you like there. If you really watch it and not prejudice to her character, you know beginning she doesn’t know + DFQC is stupid enough not to tell her directly. She’s a victim of circumstances there. You miss a lot of point of view, you cannot see what we see because you have prejudice about cute and naive characters. You adore your definition of strong characters too much that it destruct you from the real story, that you didn’t notice that other characters like DFQC and Danyin are not perfect too. Plus you also forgot that screenwriter written them with human emotions so character will not totally be made perfect. Plus Hollywood demonize girly girl and equates it to stupid which I believe you somehow pass on to you. That’s why XLH is different because they write with care and empathy and become the magnificent female lead in her own terms and ability. Open your eyes. Also you know that there’s a lot of age gap between XLH and DFQC. Like 30000+ age gap. Also, she won’t think body swap if only DFQC let him go. He basically kidnaps her yet you want her to relax. She’s weakest in the three realms in power so sensing animal spirit is hard and the scene should be comic relief., Actually I sense in you that you favor the strong and bully the weak. You know there’s no perfect in the world like you imagine in your head. Even DFQC makes a stupid mistake, he learns to purify spirit by learning musical instrument when he can just tell XLH she’s the Goddess of Xilan. It’s really a lot of effort. Because some cdramas degrades cute naive character and immediately equates it to stupid people now because of poor writing. There’s multiple screenwriters in LBFAD I believe, not just Bai Jin Jin. There’s someone who do the initial draft, final draft then by chief scriptwriter. It took them 800 days.
Okay I believe that DFQC plans with Chang Heng and not with Tai Sui because what she says to XLH doesn’t makes sense when Rong Hao admits to to him that he kill the 3000 souls. Also there’s a trailer or MV there when Chang Heng ask DFQC if do you really want to sacrifice for her.
In the novel, many people ask me this, DFQC doesn’t much care about his people compared what he is showing in the drama. There’s part there where his people opposes him. He’s so obsessed to revive and fight Chi Di again to prove that he’s the most powerful and he thinks Chi Di cheated him that’s why he lost in the battle before. When XLH dies, Chi Di gives a part of spirit/breath of XLH to DFQC. Siming helps DFQC to revive XLH. DFQC takes care of XLH until she remembers him. There’s part that where XLH already remember him but didn’t tell him because he thinks he’s gonna lie again and sacrifice her again. They have a child. Happy Ending hahaha.
If you want to ask me if I think drama is happy ending, it should be aside that it’s sweet on category of IQIYI, they’ll be murdered by cnetz. XLH I think in my theory will die in episode 31. Very obvious.
