After 20 episodes, why is baoning still shocked everytime LQ wants to kiss her? 😒

From what I gathered and could translate with what I know (lol), Dongzhi comes in with that herb concoction (Im assuming for her fertility) and after she leaves LQ says something like looks like Dongzhi made a lot of effort for them, so leave the rest to LQ and then he carries her implying they'll do it, but she says something like "no, did you forget what Wai Mo (grandmother) said?" I'm assuming about her health.. so I don't think they had sex yet.. But later when she's sitting on his lap, she says something about seeing as marrying the princess isn't easy, I'll allow you father my son.. or something like that. Which I take it as implying she'll finally let them have sex. lol

Also my bet is that she miscarriages or something, like you said.. it’s too soon and the background of her risking her health could be an issue. Well the only scenes that caught my eye were from 1:06-1:34 and my guess is it's got something to do with his mother's death and that amulet was something he recognised and I bet you it's connected to her side of the family or something. Which in every drama you know..leads to a riff between the ML and FL but don't worry, I'm sure it's all a 'misunderstanding' and then they're back to normal. LOL this is my guess.

As in like what the next few chapters of the story would be based on..

My guess is eventually there'll be some sort of a war - the emperor dies, Baoning becomes the regent for the new emperor, somewhere in between all that Li Qian gets a higher status and then more clues to his past he's been searching and more involvement with the evil guy...

Ah makes sense. Is it following the novel quite closely? I’m happy for spoilers but can someone tell me what the next arcs of the show will touch on? 🙈 I hate this suspense.

Has anyone read the novel? I’m guessing the rebirth expect that the name suggest is yet to happen which also implies she dies quite soon to be able to begin her other half of her life as the empress or was this implied to be her past life and this is her ‘rebirth’ that we’re watching now?
