If I say I didn't skip anything, ye, that means I really liked it. Acting was good, actors are handsome, but for me the writter did the best job here. Really tried to give a juice to the story, not just brushing it off with the instant trope solutions. I think every day was different enough to be interesting and funny, also developement of romance was nice and belivable. So, cudos to the writter, work well done. If you liked Reset, this is more fluffy and comedic version... time loop with "secretary Kim" and her grandiose boss... LOL...

You are right...world has a really long way to go, but at least in our times it is going somewhere, let's hope not backwards into the dark times, again...
About hijab - do women really, honestly need that and want to wear them or are they only conditioned to think, that clothes reperesents their identity? Real freedom is grown in the heart, in ability to do, what makes you fulfilled. I wouldn't define myself with what I'm wearing, how I look or what I own - but with what I think.

I usualy binge my dramas after last ep is aired, so, I'm like a light comming from stars - always showing-watching the past... That is why I don't mind much for subscriptions, I just wait, eventually most of them come arround... can't have it all... wishing you a joyfull drama watching!

I tried to subscribe to some official chanells, like IQIYI or Youku or Tencent, but it isn't possible from my country. So I watch on unofficial sites and YT. Well, it is what it is...

LOL, I often buy my shoes on men's department because I like my feet fell cozy and comfy. I suppose I would be a wierdo in China.
Anyway, there are many ocassions when I thank my fortune to be born in Europe, in a country where women's equality is quite good, not ideal, ofcourse, but I actually have a chance to do with my life what I want, withouth being forced into anything by anybody. I think, we are trully blessed here, being able to obtain all the freedom that woman can wish for... But, in the end - even in good conditions - how much freedom woman can trully have, also depends on woman alone - if she prefers to depend on man, being finacially and emotionally too submisive - than she loses own power and own self, but that is a choice that every woman makes for herself, on own accord...

Have Familiar stranger to finish yet, acting of both female is really good. I liked Killer is also romantic, romance is very good. Chef kiss. I watched quite many shorties but ofcourse, I don't remember titles... there are a lot of them on YT.

As much as I peeked into chinese history, the status of women was variated depending on the dinasty. In some women colud have property, could have even oficial positions, were able to be in army - but in other dinasties their rights vere nulified and were forced to stay in the house for most of their life. Confucianism had big influence on women's status as it influenced goverment to enforce strict measures to uphold morality of women. Women should obey first father, then husband, then son, shouldn't remarry, widow's best choice should be to make suicide and die with husband... Bandaging the feet was one of metods how to prevent women from "running arround" and was banned only in early 20th century... Yee, mostly women didn't have it easy in China, but, they didn't have it much better anywhere else in the world, neither... and even nowadays there are countries in which their position is pretty much the same as centuries ago...

That dancing with the cake was such a stupid scene to include, who on earth would spin and jump in such situation? Only by doing that I would reckon someone being retarded - as cake would definitelly be smashed in that box.... irl... They should make first meeting of FL and ML more sensible... lazy thinking... or what? Fluff takes it all?

I also dropped that one, thou Vin Zhang is gorgeous, but I couldn't just stare at him all the time, could I...... Actually, I dropped One and only, too, and Forever and ever... I dropped a lot Cdramas recently, more than I finished them, that's for shure... Also, lately I switched to shorties.... if those suck - at least you don't waste a lot of time before being clear about it... I hope I can stick with this one, I do find it fun for now...

In my country they would have him treated for anorexia... That is probably Asian thingy, most of actors and actresses look like being starved to skin and bone... but obviously they like it... If I see in Cdrama an actual woman with brests and other curves I go: wow, how did this one get in? She looks even like a bit sexy real woman instead of usual sexless creatures... Watching western production I often ask myself: is this even the same species of human female? Having butt and all the rest? LOL...

You see... if you don't get entertained by drama as you don't get it - then you can be entertained by absurd subs, LOL...

The longest one I really watched and ejoyed it all was The Story of MingLan. I'm still suprised how it captivated me and how I loved it despite 78 episodes... even rewatched some parts... That is what I call a good drama down my alley... But lately I actually drop more dramas than I watch them whole. I skip a lot, too. May be I'm oversaturated with dramaland and get borred sooner than before. Or just quality of the dramas is lover? Or writterst lost their inspiration... ? So I recently watch more shorties and movies, it's over in 2-3 hours and have way less fillers.... many are fast paced and fresh, so I like them... I even got some kind of fear of watching the dramas that I was waiting for... and was
looking forward... but... I don't want to be dissapointed so I'm putting them off... sigh.... what a difficult is the life of drama watcher... LOL... I'd say it's a good life if that's the biggerst worry one has...

I agree with you, LOL... to add another aspect: Cdramas are so heavy on tropes and cliches, that often you even don't need to understand the words, but you simply know what is all about -because you've seen it so many times already... like those old mute films where you just guess what is going on... LOL again...

I once wrotte under one drama "that I hope it wont't get draggy as too many Cdramas often do"... and was attacked by someone accusing me of being Cdrama hater... Helloo??? Hater? Ye. I didn't accept this and we had a hot discussion in comment section, in the end that person shut up as I proved to her, I'm not hater, just someone, who stated own opinion .... which, by the way, many other people share...
It's sad, but I just have a feeling some folks have a bad day and come here to attack someone venting own frustrations... shouldn't be tolerated but also shouldn't be taken too seriously or personal...

I don't know if you can spoil this .... story is all over the place but consistent in it's goofiness... I watched all released eps and can't wait for new ones... It made my day as I laughed so much... hooked...

What you really need to know is, that this is hilarious parody on tropes and cliches of Cdramas... I have so much fun watching this and will hardly wait for new episodes... and probably rewatch it on the go as there are so many hidden moments to appreciate... If you like good parody - just jump in!

You forgot the most important part: this is pure parody on cliches in Cdramas... Every scene is making fun of most used wuxia and other tropes... I love it!

I watched enough cliche-packed Cdramas that I can apreciate when such hilarious parody is dissecting them... This one is doing great job making me laugh... I will give it a high rating, too... LOL!
