I agree that Asian dramas put too much make-up on the male actors. Even Idol groups like BTS. They don’t look…
First I must say even as a woman I never wore a make up in my life. And I even don't know any person who would put it on it in actual reality. So, seing men wearing it is genuinly unusual to me. But looking into the past, men in China wore makeup in reall life, too, also nobility in Europe. As I don't move in celebrity circles I'm hardly measure of that. The only thing I do know is that in many dramas actors look like ghosts with unnatural white skin, the color that even I, as white person, don't have it... lol... and if you can notice the borderline between face and neck, later being darker, it really breaks down the aestetics and beauty... If make up sticks out so you can notice it than it's badly done, it should be discrete and only enhancing the looks not becoming the looks itself.
We can’t be naive; they’re not interested in the show’s storylines but it seems to me that this is similar…
What's the most funny thing to me is the fact that for two milenia Chinese society was one of most bisexual/gay societies at the time. Emperors had male favourites openly, every a bit richer man had female and male concubines, they even had male mariages at some point. One of historical documents even states that up to half of men indulged in same genre love and women were complaining about it. Advancing in court was normal by using own body and be a male favourite of some powerful man. Not to add that most beautiful chinese love poetry was very probably written from men to men. Only about hundred years ago they started to supress it and now they try to cover it with false morality when under the cover actual practice is going on like it did for thousands of years. Yp, talking about two faced schizophrenia. All society pretends to be upright and pure while behind the scenes more or less perverted reality is in full swing. Not only in China but all over the world
There has to be a better profile pic they could have picked for this man. It's like they purposefully used the…
Agreed! So many profile pics are really bad so actors are even unrecognisible. This one definitelly hits that category. Just yestarday I searced for one actor and there were four of them with same name - it's hilarious that none of them looked like one I was looking for, but probably one of them was the right one... lol...
I think celebrities should be more decisive in defending their own privacy. Every time somebody is stalking arround them just call the police and sue them for harassment. After being fined or jailed I believe people would think twice before barging into other's lives. All this is happening because as celebrities as authorities were too lenient to such behaviour which encauraged crazy individuals who can't seprate fantasy from reality to think there are no consequences for their actions.
I'm glad that vertical drama actors get more end more recognition and even lists like this. They deserve ti. Thank you for your effort to bring them together...
I didn't expect it but there is some true wisdom sprinkled into this drama. An ultimate answer to question: what is freedom. To not wait for approval of others... Yes. Exactly. Very nice drama, I enjoyed watchimg it. Nothing pretentious but facing real life problems by giving chances for different choices. Makes you realise how every turn you make in life can lead you to another reality and different fate.
So I have just finished watching this and I have some thoughts. Not a review...I am not qualified for that sort…
I was amused by your comment thou I haven't even watched the drama yet. I'm actually checking what is the ending like, so to be prepared with box of handkerchiefs or happy ending flags... I like to know that... NIce analysis, by the way...
