I already watched Doctor Prisoner and I really loved it. So I will have high expectation if you try to compare this drama to DP.
Na Yi Je in DP always have the best plan and strategy in his head. If there is something wrong with his plans, he already had the backup plan. Its intense and smart. I love this kind of move.
But what i heard from someone above in comments, Yo Han is quite different. He actually have plan/strategy but it didnt work smoothly and ended up become a failure one. And I would keep cursing if the writer of this drama keep going in that path. Coz I love how the ML had one step forward from the villains like DP or Again My Life.

Actually its not a totally bad drama. Maybe for some people, its enjoyable....but Dinner Mate is definitely not for me. I felt this drama is so bland and they didnt have proper story to tell. They just show us about their fate dinner meeting and exes problem.

Actually i wanna ask dumb question. Which one the costume that similar to japanese? As far as I know, its totally chinese hanfu style, its not kimono. Plus the japanese style was originally from Tang Dynasty. If you watched Longest Day in Chang An, you will see Tang original costume is similar to Japanese traditional make up and style. But its japanese who copied and modified the Tang costume style to their country traditional clothes. Its like korean who imported ming dynasty style to their Joseon culture and clothes.

Well it would be so weird if they changed the actress with face swap technology like ML in Miss Buyer. Its like they used CGI to face dubbed the actor. Yup. I watched most of Oh Yeon Seo drama. And I dont find it surprising or annoying when OYS acted like sassy girl all the time. Coz its her stereotype roles from a long time ago. My Sassy Girl, she was drunk in the street, attack the ML, fight with him, make him embarassing in front of public, then she fall in love with him later. Its around 5 first eps only then her character became better and better.
Or Love With Flaws, she became a strong woman and fun teacher plus she never keep her image in front of people. She became herself all the time. She doesnt care what others are saying.
Or MFEO, She had insecurity issue and mental health problem like trauma. She acted like that for a reason. She was paranoid and hitting the ML. She fought with ML who had anger issue.
Lol about Park Shin Hye, her kissing scenes are better in Pinocchio and Doctors. Or Lee Jong Suk is a good kisser haha.

Yes. If you dont like actress or actor X, no matter how good she/he acted in front of camera, they wont satisfy you. Basically, just because you dont like them. Even though its not as person personally, they never do anything to us....but everyone has their own favourite and their own hate.
I also said something like this in another page of Lee Joon Gi drama "Again my life". There is one person who kept commenting about she didnt connect with his acting. Everyone attacked her coz LJG acting is great as usual. Just because she doesnt like him then she cant have a fair judge about it.
But its a bit different case with this drama. They dont have the problem with actress (after several comments I read), but they didnt like her annoying characters in Cafe M. But some ppl obviously -like you said- "dislike" her as actress not char.
