l didnt mind it at first but it is NOT ADDICTED HEROIN. It’s taken all the aggressive grittiness out and made…
I'm hoping for a Japanese remake. They're willing to make dramas that don't shy away from the dark side if humanity. (After the Korean remake of A Love So Beautiful, I think that a Korean remake of this would be like the Thai one.)
This was a really great all-round rom com. All the leads did well and the chemistry was good. She was a bit quirky, but very honest. He was a bit scummy at the start but had a lot of growth and was super adorable by the end. Actually most of the characters had positive growth. Well worth a watch and probably a re-watch. I gave it 8.5.
Does it have too much horror which overshadows the romance? I am actually looking for romance element rather than…
The FL is constantly scared by the ghosts around her, but I never found them scary. There's only a couple at the beginning that they really try to make spooky. The ghosts are around her because they want her to resolve something from their lives before they move on. So to me that part of the story is more about the sadness of the ghosts' lives, and not really about trying to scare the audience. So yes, I think it's more romance than horror. But the ML is an extreme tsundere. He's really a big jerk for a long time, so be ready for that.
Kudos to Song Ha Yoon who played Jung Soo Min for her villainous tour de force and helping create such a diabolically…
The way she changed expressions during her meeting with Ji Hyuk was amazing. She was cheerful and flirty, then in one second her face literally twisted into something poisonous. That is not easy to do without it looking like pantomime.
After they get caught by Rock, Karan and Achi hold hands in the same spot instead of avoiding PDA since they know…
Your heartburn comment made me laugh so much.
In the jp version, there were 3 things going on all the time. Adachi hearing Kurosawa's thoughts and freaking himself out but also figuring himself out. Adachi listening to others' thoughts and trying to help them. And the in-between moments where Adachi would just relax and give a small joke or a quick blinding smile to Kurosawa that made you realize how much he really liked him under all those nerves.
There was none of that in this episode. Their relationship didn't advance and this was a plot dead end. Basically just filler.
On a positive note, I'm liking Min and Jinta WAY more than Minato and Tsuge. Tsuge was so over-the-top that he was kinda unwatchable and he and Minato had zero chemistry. Jinta is awkward but you can see how Min would like him, and they actually seem to like each other.
I'm a diehard fan of the Japanese CM and I'm confused by what you've said. If anything, I thought the Jp version…
I think it was good that the behaviour ultimately got condemned in this episode, but the way the writers went about it really watered down the message.
When the boss learned that Karan went to meet the toxic business woman, he didn't stop things. Instead he taunted Achi about it. Then despite being there in plenty of time, he waited until Karan was literally on his knees in front of her before stepping in. And finally the boss had to make a big song and dance about how he didn't support their relationship but was willing to (barely) tolerate it-- like his opinion on their private life was in any way relevant.
So there was so much toxic behaviour going on from this boss that it was really hard to take anything positive from it.
It's such bad writing. You can tell the writers really thought they were doing something, but they just created…
"I'm worried about what might happen in the future if you break up, so the solution is to force you to break up now ". Wtf? Make it make sense.
Also, sorry boss, no one cares if you support your employees relationship! It's completely none of your business. Keep your opinions to yourself.
Also, talk about a hypocrite. In order to prove something about their private relationship, Karan has to make an unreasonable sales target. Now who can't keep things straight between private and business life?
Finally, that whole Karan doesn't have to apologize thing. The boss was there the whole time but waits for Karan to literally be on his knees before stepping in.
It's such bad writing. You can tell the writers really thought they were doing something, but they just created a toxic, hypocritical boss and creeped us all out. There was nothing like this in the OG series.
I enjoyed this drama overall, but I believe it suffered from an attempt to blend too many genres, ultimately leaving…
I personally like the mix of genres. I felt it really only fell down on the last episode. I think there should have been 2 more episodes so the romance, ssireum, and murder mystery plots could have been given more time.
Lee Jae Joon (Jin) was a former ballet dancer? WOW I LOVE his smile in the sand. I cried!!!!!I CAN NOT believe…
Yes, it is him! I went through this same mental journey when I figured it out as well. He looks so different here with the longer hair and bigger body, but he has the same lopsided smile.
