Didn't the masked shadow thing say that he's a human soul in a demon body? If that's the case, exorcism would never work. Exorcism is removing the demonic spirit from a non-demon body. Since he is a demon now, removing the demon would mean destroying him completely. Now wouldn't it be funny if she accidentally removed his human soul instead, so he turns completely evil...
That depends on how much money they have for that deer’s CGI lol. We haven’t seen the little genie in a while.
I don't know that much about CGI, but I'd think that if I invested in 3D modelling a character, I would want to use it a lot so that I can milk as much value from it as possible.
I'm hoping the magical deer will play a bigger role than just a means to get the snow branch. It would be cool if she can keep it as a spiritual pet or something.
What? No, I don't think so. Her father is either the Dragon King (which makes her and Mu Zhanting siblings) or the Premier of the Holy Path (based on the resentment in her mother's voice when talking about the ML's master).
The plot itself is really interesting, but somehow I found the implementation rather mid. It seems that they only wanted to focus on the romance, which was good, but at the expense of everything else (investigation, thriller, martial arts, etc.), which was mediocre. I would've preferred a more balanced drama. Also, the ML and FL both learned the same martial arts when they were younger (she gave him the manual), so it doesn't make sense why he's the strongest of all while she's always a damsel in distress.
This drama uses one of my favourite plot lines of all time (a deadly FL with incomplete memories being used by a villain to do his evil deeds before she's saved by a ML who helps her find a better life), though the short format prevented the story from flourishing to its full potential. I can only imagine how amazing a full-length drama where she slowly pieces together the mystery of her past and origins (somewhat similar to Princess Silver) would be.
Is September (the ML's sister) a lesbian? They seem to suggest that she's attracted to the FL.
The villain is extra crazy and evil in this one. He's clearly in love with the FL (who has the same face as his own sister!), yet he makes her do all sorts of horrible things that involve marrying and sleeping with other men.
It certainly has its flaws, but of the many "female assassin marries her target" dramas, I think this is the best.
Some random thoughts: - Budget looks VERY high for a short drama. The opening scenes look like they're from a major production. Most full-length dramas don't even have that many extras. - The prime minister's daughter has such a cute and charming personality. If I was in the ML's shoes, I think I would fall in love with her, even if she doesn't have the FL's looks or fighting skills. - How did her sister maintain such an innocent personality after growing up in such a hellish environment? - The sister and bodyguard made such a ridiculously cute couple that I knew one or both of them wouldn't make it to the end. - When the leader of the assassin organization was already dead, why did the remaining assassins attack the wedding?
Who did he already have in his heart? Is there a 2nd FL?
He was engaged to Qin Zhenzhen, and he thought he loved her, until he met Li Rong and realized that it wasn't love. And QZZ always thought of him as a brother.
It's extremely complicated. The Emperor (Li Chuan) only loved Lady Qin, who became pregnant. The Empress (Shangguan…
Did you watch all the way to the end (40 episodes)? They showed SGY asking her uncle (PM) to find her a sperm donor basically, and SRH showed up. I don't remember which episode exactly, but the scene was not short, there's no way you can miss it.
so i kinda forgot who was the reason for the su family down fall and what was even the reason was it the crown…
It's extremely complicated. The Emperor (Li Chuan) only loved Lady Qin, who became pregnant. The Empress (Shangguan Ya) needed a child for the sake of her family, so she got pregnant by another man (Su Ronghua). Knowing that LC would make Qin's child the future Crown Prince, the two of them conspired to kill the child, but ended up killing the mother instead, which drove LC insane. LC schemed for 8 years for revenge against the Shangguan and Su families, and ended up framing the Su family for rebellion. In that timeline, everyone except LR and PWX became villains. In the current timeline, LR and PWX managed to change everything so that everyone could remain good, except SRQ.
So in second arc ending, we knew LR is a change person and LC experiences is different too, he still takes over…
In exchange for being pardoned for their role in the attempted rebellion, the families that conspired with SRQ had to support the bill that eliminated the direct assignment of nobles to roles, and instead all positions have to filled by the exams, making it a level playing field.
LC needs to be Emperor in name, with LR as Regent, because women couldn't officially take the throne. Not sure why it took three years though, especially when she was already appointed Regent by their father. Maybe she was in charge during those three years anyways, he just didn't leave yet.
How can she trust and be so easily persuaded by one of the ones that conspired to let her die? She's calling her…
I don't blame her for thinking about joining hands with SRQ to install Prince Su as a puppet. What I don't understand is why she's hiding it from PWX instead of talking to him about it. After all, he was the only one who never betrayed her, and the only one who doesn't have any real skin in the game other than her, so he would be uniquely qualified to give an impartial second opinion.
As for her brother, if I remember correctly, at one point he personally admitted that there was always a monster inside him, waiting to come out.
